Hopefully that Eric Buell will start again .It’s about year now that I’m driving Buell. Had never trouble with this bike and I will not change the manufacture.

couldn't they at least manufacture the Rotax powered 1125r/1125cr models at the plant to start with? Rotax being built ion Austria from what i understand. We Buell riders dont want to see Buell go down like this, Erik Buell offers a great product, it just hasn't been marketed right. HD does very little to push the product, 98% of people go to there HD dealer to look at HD's NOT Buells, lets put Buells in there own environment or with other sport bike dealers... c'mon Erik figure something out!!! please!!!!

Buell, the person, is likely owned by HD and in no position to do anything.

Please save the Buell jobs people have put there heart and soul into makeing Buell bikes and have been very proud to do so. To end a wonderful company and let Harley take the rewards just isn't fair. come on and let them have there jobs back and stay local and make East Troy proud of the company and there employees God Bless and pray for the future of those losing ther jobs. proud mom in Waukesha

If Buell goes down, HD will lose even more of their future customers. I have ridden and HD or Buell product for 33 years. If no Buell, I hold HD responsible. I already am disgusted with Detroit, Chevy are not in my driveway anymore. I now own a Mini and a Land Rover.... See a pattern HD! Do you have the courage to repair this debacle!!!!!

Too bad for Buell. I owned one for a while - loved the design, the japanese suspension, the outstanding handling. Traded it in before warranty expired because the HD boat anchor of a motor kept it in the shop for half of its life. I hope that Buell can continue with Rotax, who make excellent motors, and somehow claw its way out of the cesspool of HD.

I've been riding and wrenching HD's for about 25 years. Bought my first Buell (XB12S) in '05 and sold my big twin. I've never had to touch a damn thing on the Buell except the gas cap. I'll never by another HD after this classless act. I understand business, I also sense a shameful conduct when I see it. How they did this was awful. Forget HD. My Lightning will get me through and if I want a new bike it'll be a Super Duke.

Buells are CRAP!!! the worst American bike ever made, I had an XB12S and a X1 Lighning and they were both GARBAGE!!! Step aside for the real sportbikes and stop taking up trackspace. You wanna real sportbike? get a Speed triple, or a ZX14, or even a Ducati, You wanna bike that runs like a broken sewing machine? then buy a Buell, you can get them really cheap right now.

Seeya , I own both a ZX14 and a 999 ducati . But neither are as FAST ( I worked the XB12R into a 1420cc with 643 cams roller rockers ect) Nor do they handle as well as the Buell Xb12R firebolt I also Own . My buddys all have sportbikes ( name the brand or model somebody has it ) And we all agree that Buells are the best handling bike made . Its the rule of thumb that if you think a Buell is a bad handling bike , you just dont ride well. the steep rake and short wheelbase is for racing . Crappy riders think they are twitchy. So get a instructor, get some lap time in.Once you get good enough to get your knee down then ride a Buell again .

Seeya from Florida, the rest of us Buell riders know you have never owned one so stop pretending already. Jake is right, I have had the good fortune to ride many race prepped bikes of all kinds, the Buell is like riding a TZ250, Florida boy do you even know what that is.

Jake and Jon have got the goods. My Uly handles like a bmx bike with the torque that pulls a grin to the ears. Remember J and J, these bikes are not for novices, you have to know how to handle the beast and most of all you have character and be different to ride the bike with a difference.

Just as a clincher-almost every bike has a stunt on youtube or expert village. If these people can do these stunts on the bikes-then they must be manageable for someone who knows how and since everyone has a different priority on ride type/style/goal then it boils down to buy the right bike for what you want.
