Talib Bilal needs to get a life. These lay offs have NOTHING to do with Republicans! I would bet he doesn't even bother to vote! There is down sizing everywhere, you aren't the only company affected.

Aren't Unions great?
You guys dug your own grave when you went on strike last year. I bet you thought you showed them... Now you are facing the consequences. I would be very suprised if the Springettsbury Plant is still here in 5 years. You Harley workers had better start taking Chinese and Spanish language classes if you want to transfer with the production. Nah Nah Nah, Hey Hey Hey, Adios!

I feel bad for these people losing their jobs. Working at Harley wasn't going to make them rich or millionaires. Working at Harley was giving them employment to own a home, put food on the table, have some benefits and a decent wage which should be the American Way for all of us. Now they must start over and find new employment. I wish them well in searching the job market.
Instead of being angry and resentful in our remarks we should be standing behind our fellow countrymen. This can happen to any one of us at this time in our country.

Did anyone pick up this morning's YDR? There are no jobs for listing today in the employment section. Very unusual.

Sales of scooters is way up. But the cost of a new motorcycle, insurance, and gear can far outweigh the cost of ownership for a paid off auto with low insurance. A lot of folks are buying bikes to try to save gas but then realizing it's not such a money saver if they start factoring in all the maintenance, tires, etc... into the equation.

Gee stop and think about this, no one wants to losr their job. We all depend on it. Career link was jammed for the job fair for Harley, so a lot of area people wanted to work there. Why is everyone bashing the employees being laid off? Most probably had nothing to do with the strike-plus I understand the strike had to do with future retirees and the workforce already in place. The contract had concessions for the new employees and higher health care deductables and a new drug plan that was more money for the employees. Other health plans at other companies are in some ways better than H-D's. This is going to filter down and affect other businesses in York Co. due to the cutbacks. York Co. does not need this cut, jobs are hard enough to find. Take the time to think of the affect of a job loss in your family with all the rising costs.

My ex-wife and her co-worker broke our marriage up, the lazy workers at Harley had too much free time to pro-create on company time in the parking lot areas, had plenty of strike time too, Hope they shut down for good, I will laugh at them when they take minimum wage jobs, HA HA HA

So you weren't giving it to your wife good enough and she went somewhere else. Get over it. Your own damn fault...
