More jobs moving over-seas. Why si this community so in love with Harley, when it's pulling things like this? The Harley brand is supposed to be MADE in the USA, not ASSEMBLED in the USA. It's despicable.

And you know the prices of the bikes isn't going to go down because of this!! Just more $$ in the pockets of Harley execs and wealthy shareholders, and fewer jobs for our community.

the only thing the union is interested in is keeping their hands in the employees pockets... as many of them as they can . so much for union protection and representation . how's that union working now ?
the company plans to be leaner and smaller , I don't see how they'll be able to carry the load of this state , especially with the taxation coming down the road . if only Pa. could get smaller and leaner maybe everyone could afford to stay .

Ahhh! Now the union seems to be putting the best interest of the company and it's employees' first; alittle too late! I think the guilt of possibly driving Harley out of town, and hundreds of employees' out of work, has hit a nerve.

and where are these "functions of jobs" relocated to? Family member (moved on up) to Harley, from a functional York County machine shop, 13 yrs ago.
13 years may or may not mean something (to most of the bashers-lalala-& nonesense) same as the State employees according to those.
I know of Family & Friends employees, that RELY on this job.
They have built their lives on the stability of Harley. They worked their way through the ranks of "stable" work record and experience from a "supplier" I also have a retired, and close to retirees relative and friends.
I (personally) agree with the Union and greed bashing.
The current times are different. From the beginning the Unions were needed. This takeover (from union ) happened to my Father- 30+ years ago, and I thank God everyday for his life and (work) that keeps him alive. He served in the Korean War- Fathered 6 children- and was fresh Graduated from High School.
any of these dumb ass comments - running their mouths on the selfish and conceit of "the union deserves it"
never really had a chance at providing for their Family or themselves and already have the Government supporting them or assistance from the government to support your family.
-so who is greedy now?

and why would you say that mailman?- is your job threatened with the Postal service of the US? Union? and losing your job?
What goes around comes around-
now there is a thought- USPS should deliver mail- via motorcycle , and who manufactures within the USA?
fess up- you would just love to do your route on a Harley!

It is so sad to see the amount of effort that goes into bashing the Harley employees...Paid too high, greedy, lazy. As an employee,I would just like to say that in the 10 yrs I've been there,NUMEROUS people have QUIT because they couldn't handle the work. Now I'm assuming all the nay sayers have no involvement in Harley, nor their families,or they HOPEFULLY wouldn't be so quick to judge things they KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT.Walk just a day in our shoes, and you may just change your tune...or maybe not.
