Has anyone experienced a serve lack of "take-off power" and/or "stalling" almost immediately after releasing the clutch and adding
throttle while in FIRST gear? If you have, P L E A S E, share your experience and perhaps what remedy you may have applied, of
which effectively cured or improved your situation in regard to such "ANNOYING" & "DANGEROUS" occurrence.
Upon driving away in FIRST gear, It is often necessary to (rev the RPMs above 3k) when on LEVEL ground. A STALL ON A HILL @
A TRAFFIC LIGHT CAN GET QUITE WORRISOME AND DANGEROUS, as when stalling the engine effectively becomes equal to
the application of the rear brake. What would be an "inconvenience" were this to involve up to a 450 LB. bike, however,@ 700 LBS
and over, a sudden unexpected stall can lead to a cascading of "unfortunate events", one after the other and within seconds, turn an
otherwise good day into an "expensive" & dreaded nightmare.
SUMMARY:
-1999 BMW K1200LT (basic components) -Bought in May 2007 (second owner) -Mileage = >61k -Downed = 3 times in 5 months @ or below 5 MPH @ 2k RPMs: 1. While making a "U" turn (Turning radius too short and stepped on some of those spiky balls from a SWEET GUM tree) 2. Engine stalled unexpectedly (Requires REVing RPMs above 3K) 3. Engine stalled unexpectedly (Released clutch too quickly @ 2.2K RPMs)
I welcome your wisdom and/or CONSTRUCTIVE criticism regarding this matter.

Not sure if this applies to the 1999 models, but have you tried resetting the Throttle Position Sensor? With the engine off, and the ignition on, slowly open the throttle to FULL ON and slowly release to full OFF position. Do this 3 times. It is necessary to do this any time the battery is disconnected and re-connected. If the computer isn't getting the proper signal from the TPS, it could cause these problems. Again, my LT is a 2007 model, and I'm not really sure if its the same for earlier models, but its worth a try.....

Thanks, for the words of wisdom, Gary....I'll apply that method and see what results of it.

Possibly a low fuel pressure issue only effecting idling and low rpm, have the Fuel pressure checked,or a unadjusted or faulty TPS pot... Its a start for you.
