Fantastic story - are BMW going to support her as well as the light saber flashing hero on his holiday?

Couldn't agree more with the above comment. Actually it may well be that they need all the help they can get. How about it????

Hi there

Just want to add my support to what people are saying here. The guy is even selling his house to get this done. I appreciate that our light sabre friend is famous but he actually didn't need to beg, borrow gear from people. For Christ's sake he's a millionaire!

Do the good thing BMW - get hold of them and ask them what they need.

Then GIVE IT TO THEM!

Hi to all
I have been all over the site they have put together and I really like what they are trying to do. Like other comments here I assume BMW will be giving them a 'leg up' and all the assistance they need?
Do not really see how BM could let them go around on a bike so old! Poor guy will need to take so many spares he would need to leave her behind!
Common BM get hold of them and cut the bubbly budget and give it to something good - BTW, does anybody from BM ever read this site? Just a thought.

One of the guys in the office has just pointed this out to me and I thought I would throw in my pennies.

Has anyone emailed the couple to find out if BMW are helping them out? Perhaps we could send them the link to here and then we can see what's happening? I have checked their site and it doesn't mention BMW involvement (got schools invovled etc. but no bike support?)

Perhaps there is stuff going on they haven't posted on the site yet?

I'll mail them and find out!

Hi there
Thanks for your thoughts and support. It is very early days as yet regarding any form of support from manufacturers although it is gathering pace.
If you would like to keep track through the Latest Updates section at www.worldtour.org.uk or you can use the discussion forum on the site.
Again, our thanks for your thoughts regarding Cathy's journey. We really do appreciate them.
Best Wishes

Hello to Cathy and Bernard! And Biscuit! How are you guys? So, BMW are (or are not) sponsoring you at the moment? We have been talking about in the office (we are nearly all bikers here) and have been looking at the web site this morning (even our manager!). He is on about doing something for the trip and he is off to his managers to discuss. We are going to organise a whip 'round for you people.

Love what you are doing, really do.

Have BMW been in touch with you at all as the story was on the site and now it seems to have gone missing????????

Hi Mike

Thanks for your interest and also pass on our thanks to everybody in the office.

The story has been removed as one of the pictures was subject to copyright and the matter had to be resolved (touchy people photographers!)

Anyway, we are actually talking to various strands of BMW at the moment. They are showing great interest but nothing has been confirmed as yet. Fingers crossed my friend, fingers crossed as it will make the job of getting Cathy around the world just a little easier!

Best Wishes

Biscuit.

Hey Cathy and Bernard

Have you seen BMW flogging the Charlie and Ewan Mc story. My teeth grind when I read about them.

Couldn't agree more with John above - a millionaire and you guys get nothing. It's enough to make me change allegiance to a Jap bike!

Have you thought about going to the Japanese or Triumph?????????

Hi
Try not to grind your teeth too much as dentists are hard to find in Englnad these days! I think most people would love to have the level of support that Ewan and Charlie have rustled up - even if they wouldn't admit it! We wish them all the best.

No worries on this end ....... c'est la vie. What happens, happens.

Regards from the three of us.

Hi Cathy and Bernard

OOooooops - really sorry, thought I was addressing to you rather than naming myself (I didn't look properly). New to this forum stuff but I read in the papers about trip and tracked you down.

Really sorry, also think I have replied on other string in the same way as well.

Apologies.

ANDY
