The 850 Mana is brilliant for city-goers who commute to and from work. CVT with a manual mode, and a storage compartment for the helmet? Perfect! The bike looks great too...

I plan on buying the Mana but I wished they would have made it lower than this 31.5-inch seat.

Has anyone heard what the U.S. price will be?

They will be offering a lower seat (gel pack) for the Mana. I like the Mana over the DN-01 because the Mana has 76-hp, a very short wheelbase, and helmet storage. I like the fact that the DN-01 has a 27-inch seat but don't like the fact that they detuned the engine down to 55-hp (from 65-hp in the Deauville and Transalp) and gave it a cruiser-length wheelbase of 63.2-inches.

I suffered a back injury and have drop foot, so shifting is very difficult. I still ride my zzr600, but its exhuasting and I miss some shifts. So the Mana would be a god send to many riders like myself.

I'd like to see the Mana motor/trans in a dual sport setup similar to the 800GS.

Is this machine a motorcycle or a scooter? In British Columbia if you take your test on a scooter you are only allowed to drive a scooter (of any size). To ride a motorcylce I would need to take the test all over again, no way.

Both are inferior to the Piaggio MP3 for smaller or disabled people imo.(I am both).
And the 500cc model, while pricey (but no more than the other 2), has a mean, dark look!

The advantage of 2 front wheels (no need to put feet down at stops, great traction), and conventional m-c lean, well, need I say more?

Of these two- the Mana of course, it's Italian. The HFT tranny in the Honda is more advanced than a CVT, but at the end-user level, is there any difference?(Other than possible belt/pulley replacement on the CVTs). I have seen no maintenance scheds. for any of these, except the Honda. They say no maint. req'd lifetime. I have been a tranny tech for 35 yrs, so I find that hard to believe.

The Mana is Aprilia's best kept secret. this bike does many things right....yet they do not advertize or promote the bike at all....if you are not an enthusiast you would never know about it...to bad, poor sales reflect this attitude by Piaggio.
