Rally in the Corn plans continue to move forward

looks like another wetzel party right in downtown van wart...i mean van wert. i think local officials are being duped by this van wart clown....hello he is out to make as much cash as he can off the backs of van wert citizens then his butt is gone and we are left with the mess. say no to wetzel in the corn...one is enough

I think the guy has it together. He is truly an honest person. He wants Van Wert to prosper by finding a place for the motorcycle people to come to as a designated place each year and Van Wert would profit from this rally. He wants to pay back to the community. He also has great references as I personally have checked into that - not a fly by night person.

After thousands of bikers will have just been in Wetzel why would they want to come back to VW? There aren't enough bars in town to hold that many. Also, what is there to offer them here? Are they going to be entertained at fountain park or maybe Larry the Cable Guy will be at NPAC. Where are they going to stay and what will they do once they get here? There has to be a draw other than watching the corn grow.

dont compare this to wetzel....wetzel is n the country,fenced in,and heavily secured NO MINORS what so ever....and dont bother any of you, nor do they ask anything of you.....

Right and Wetzel has entertainment. It also provides a place for housing of some type. My question is why would thousands or even hundreds of bikers WANT to come to VW? What will there be for them to do? Are they going to set up tents at the fairgrounds? Then what, take a tour of the chinese restaurants in town, or go on a farm tour and see how the crops are doing?

I have a question for you all. Why is it all of sudden this Van Wart shows up here in town. It took all of those years to come to Van Wert and see it. It looks kinda strage I would say...

y u such morons? not everyone who rides a motorcycle is a "biker" - this type of event will appeal to a more refined intelligent crowd. u know they might have some brain cells that haven't been fried by booze or drugs - go to the paper and read about the events. there will be family oriented attractions, and the ladies will have shirts on, won't have to worry about looking at fat ugly tits. Wetzel has become a shameful event for our town and u complain about this?

Mr. Van Wart has showed up to do some mining...He plans to mine as much Cash as he can from our locals. Better check into this guys background before you open the door to the vault.

I dont hear any complaining esp when every business n hotel gets tons of business! Dont knock it till u try it...not all the storys u hear are true!

Of course he plans to make some money. He will also generate money for the local businesses. Do you think the fair is here as a non-profit for charity? Do you think Wetzel has their party as a non-profit for charity? How about the Apple Festival are the vendors there out of the goodness of their hearts or do they want to turn a profit? The people hosting events usually expect to make money; they also bring people to the area and create revenue for local businesses. Think things through!

And by the way it is the Rally in the Corn, I have met a few of the Wetzel folks, but they are not afilliated with my company. Thank you for the nice and uplifting comments.

I appreciate the feedback. My goal is to make sure that everyone has a good time, and hope that I can make a difference in your community. I want nothing more than that. not jealous of anyone who owns a Harley. Even if I wanted to go buy a bike (I don't) I wouldn't buy a Harley I'd buy a crotch rocket. But jealous? Never. I'd rather have my iPhone than a motorcycle lol.
