Where were you for Righetti's no-hitter?

Where were you 25 years ago today? If you are a Yankees fan over the age of, say, 35, there is a good chance you can answer this question precisely.

We were in Field Level Boxes mid way up from the Vistors Dugout. My Fiance now my wife of 24 years, My Best Friend and His Youngest Brother, My Boss and His Wife. What I remember most of the day was how hot it was. By the time you got the beers back from the stand they were warm. About the Seventh Inning, no one sat down during the top of the inning. It was electric. I remember Kemp's Catch Vividly. At the end, we all just cheered. It has to be the greatest game I have gone to.

Although I am a Mets fan, I was watching the game at home & remember it was a broiling hot day 94 degrees at the Stadium but here was Rags mowing them down & the last out via strikeout was Wade Boggs of all people. after the K, Rags exhausted from the heat leaps & hugs Butch Wynegar & hearing I think it was Mel Allen who called it. HE GETS IT, A NO HITTER A NO HITTER A NO HITTER BY DAVE RIGHETTI!!!! HOW ABOUT THAT. HE PITCHED A NO HITTER. Now the Ginats pitching coach for years now, Rags is forever remembered for his 1 day of fame in the Bronx, though he did a nice job as a closer for years after being pulled from the rotation in 1984.

my phone was ringing all morning but I would not answer it. I thought it was a girl I was ducking calling me. Turns out it was my friend Jim asking me to go to the Yankee game - I missed his calls.

He gave my ticket to a MET FAN who never let me live it down. He saw a NO-HITTER and I did not.

I remember it was hot as blazes that day...I watched the ending with my father and brother.....striking out Boggs for the final out made it sweet.

Was Margo Adams at the game...?

I was 17, had just torn up my ankle. I was in a cast. It was hot so I stayed upstairs watching the game while my family threw a party outside. It was disgusting, and I was stuck there watching it.
