I'm from pittsburg and it was really sad finding out he died trying to help poor people.

im so happy that my cousin really helped all these people.im happy that he was and extraordinary baseball player.i dont know alot about him because i never got to met him..im so sad that hes gone..but hey he will always be in my heart for the rest of my life.im doing every single thing he has done when he was young.im going to school graduating next year.ive have played softball since i was 8 im 16 years old and ive got known the best female athlete in philadelphia NUMBER 21 IS THE BEST NUMBER EVER ..THATS MY FAVORITE NUMBER I WAS BORN NOVEMBER 21ST 1992 I STAY WIT MY NUMBER ALL MY JERSEYS HAVE IT..im following all his steps my goal is to mone day make the olympics.ive suceeded so mmuch i read about him alot..he is my blood cousing from my fathers side..i love you ROBERTO CLEMENTE YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MISSED ATT YOUR LITTLE COUSIN

Thanks for writing this article, so everyone can learn about this great man. My son wears a Clemente t-shirt often, and grown men stop him and tell him what a great man he is commemorating, often with tears in their eyes.

Clemente was as fine a man to ever play the game, and stands in marked contrast to the punks who play in the All Star game now. Only Jeter holds a candle to his grace.
