For Phils, keeping Werth possible, but unlikely

The feeling in Philadelphia is that Jayson Werth will be in another team's lineup in 2011.

I just started watching the Phillies again and it has been along time since I watched my home team in action!I started watching the Phillies again since they won the world series!I was about to buy a Philadelphia Phillies Jayson Werth Jersey and wear it proudly but now the Phillies cant afford him but they can afford a low grade highly over paid player like Ryan Howard! I really like the line up if I owned the Philadelphia Phillies Id keep Jayson Werth because he is worth it just look at the track record! I would trade Ryan Howard and try to get Manny Ramirez or some desent 1st base player! I have been watching the Phillies since they won the world series Ryan Howard has been blowing it for the team! He is great during the season but when really needed to step up and shine and blows it, the whole playoffs Ryan Howard strikes out, walks or very very few hits to get on base now look at Jayson Werth the guy smashes the numbers, the ball and shows up to play I would keep Jayson Werth or the Phillies will just continue pay money out to guys like Ryan Howard to play crap ball and bleed the team of money so that desent players couldnt get a chance and stay! I believe Ryan Howard is the teams real problem. If I was the owner I would start there! If Jayson Werth gets taken by another team I would throw Ryan Howard up to the trade box and get Jayson Werth its the smartest thing Philadelphia could do!

If the Phils would get Bryce Harper, they would be unstoppable.

No one is ever going to buy Howards contract. Werth had a good '09 and not a bad '10. So who's going to replace Howard? We have no 1B prospects and no money, even if someone did take Howard, it's The Phils that will still have to pay most of the contract, so still no money.
Werth is good, but he's not $20 million a year good, which is around what he's looking for.
