They both look like fools for going through this little tantrum in the public eye.

Jamie is an idoit, she should take her boy toy and monthy allowance, which will surely be more than enough and go away, epecially before her boy toy get bored. I am sure one of the reason he was interested in her in the first place was because she was a Dogers CEO

Jamie will become the most hated person in Los Angeles because of this divorce.

TIME TO GET RID OF MANNY, MATT HOLIDAY MIGHT BE AVAILABLE , GET A GOOD STARTING PITCHER AND GET RYAN ZIMMERMAN FOR 3rd BASE SPOT.
THEN TELL YOUR STARTING PITCHERS THAT THERE WILL BE A $ 1,000.00 FINE FOR EVERY WALK AND IF MORE THEN 3 WALKS THE FINE DOIBLES. FOR RELIEF PITCHERS $ 2,000.00 FOR EACH WALK & DOUBLE IF HE COMES IN TO SCORE. |

Your comment tells us all that you will never be a GM of a team at any level. Maybe you could coach your kid's little league team and tell the pitchers that if they walk anyone you'll take away their after game snow cones. |

Bwana,
Nobody would pick-up Manny's contract. He's probably good for another .280 B.A., 25 HR, 90 RBI year. Besides, with this divorce hanging over the Dodger ownership, they'll be slow to pull the trigger on any deal. |

No. Manny will be in a contract year if he decides to stay. I think he'll hit 30 homeruns next year. Ethier will hit 30 again and so will Kemp. We need pitching. If Manny accepts his $20M option for next year (which i'm 99.5% he will), an American team will probably ask about him but will ask for the Dodgers to pay for at least half of his salary. Matt Holiday will cost too much money. Third base belongs to Casey Blake for the next two years unless someone is willing to trade for him which I doubt.
My idea. Keep Manny. It will give Kemp and Ethier yet another year to become superstars. Go out and get a good pitcher. Lets remember that Jason Schmidt's $12M+ contract is off the books now. We can afford to get a good pitcher. The only problem is that there might not be an "ace" available this offseason.

I agree that L.A. needs a bona-fide number one starter. They should have signed Lee for six million. It would have been a bargain. As for the $12 million, don't expect them to spend it on players. They have a big divorce to settle first.
