The Mets will not collapse this September. That's because they collapsed in June.

It will only get worse when the Phils get Roy Halladay.

Thanks to Omar weighting for the starters to comeback, this season is DONE!

The Phillies are playing solid baseball, the Marlins and Braves are playing decent ball. While the Met's float helplessly waiting for help that doesn't appear to be coming.

Omar has destroyed this team from top to bottom...the entire organization is a joke...until Omar is gone, I hope this team never wins another game..

Thank God I'm seeing so much (deserved) heat being put on Omar. I said he's deserved it since 2007.

Omar and Bernazard have got to go, PRONTO. Ditto the Wilpons...sell the team.

It's been downhill since Beltran struck out in 2006 with his bat on his shoulder.

Mass house cleaning needed.

This team has no fight in it. Anytime they fall behind, it feels like they just give up. Throw in a total lack of fundamentals, poor managing, a lack of clutch hitting, terrible umpiring and poor pitching, and going to the game becomes a total exercise in frustration.

I would rather work then watch the Mets at this point. I don't know what needs to be fixed, but I would think it starts with the manager. The Mets need a manager with a never say die attitude, who will bench those who give up or make stupid mistakes.

In addition the umpiring is horrendous. The balls and strike calls are totally inconsistent and seem to be dependent on who is batting. And to have missed calls on the bases like the one last night is unforgivable. Hirschbeck should personally refund all the fans ticket money after that pathetic showing last night.

All I can say is that until something changes, I will not be going back to the ballpark.

Minaya should be held accountable for 2006, and the collapses in 2007 and 2008. No question injuries have hurt the on field product this year, but Minaya's failure to address player development has forced Met fans to watch Argenis Reyes, Elmer Dessens, Fernando Nieve, Ramon Martinez and Ken Takahashi as another season implodes. Unfortunately, the Coupons' gave him an extension for three more years. If the Coupons decided Minaya should be fired, the downside is they would make the decision as to whom would be his replacement, which is freightening.

This is starting to get comical. If they don't start turning it around now it will be over soon. We all know how good the Phils finish their seasons. Usually we are in front but now we don't even have that going for us.

I think many heads should role, this team is gutless and they were not all that great when they had their starters.

Dude, what Sept. colapse???? They are doing it now in July. To colapse in Sept. they would have to actually be in 1st place, not looking like they will even come close to that.
