Bringing back McGwire as a hitting coach is a joke. What is he gonna teach; How to hit .260, hit a long ball or strike out?

I'd like $1.00 for every time Mark McGwire is asked about 'roids.
How will he have time to teach hitters how to wallop a ball ?

The wit on you guys is pretty intimidating, but the Phillies' hitting coach is Milt Thompson. They have one of the best offenses in all of baseball, so does it really matter? Look at most hitting coaches, few were Hall of Fame caliber hitters. This is more about the Cardinals feeling like the Cardinals again. Their pitching needs more run support, because Holliday is jetting to go get overpaid by another team.

Pujols is close with McGwire, and perhaps they're thinking of resigning Glaus for portion of what he's worth(probably 4 million with incentives.) Big Mac and Glaus have a lot in common, so yeah, this is a big thing. McGwire is still a God in St. Louis.

i don't know what you are thinking, where you live, or who you talk to, but McGwire is far from a "god" in St. Louis. Maybe he is to LaRusa, but hey Tony is good at looking the other way when it comes to roids and drinking and driving. i also sincerely doubt that Albert is all that close with McGwire, because he's not fond of steroid using players.
