Race had nothing to do with it. Talent did.

Why don't you ask Steve Wilkerson, Anthony Valencia, Ronnie Armenta, Alex Moore, Rodney Lucero, Billy Lempken, all the Blackwater's, Jarred Burdick, Angelo Padilla, Derek Rodriguez, Alfonzo Alonso, or the endless list that I could mention? They would have a better take it I bet.

Better yet, why don't you ask Dez Martinez, Chandler Joe, Joe Cervantes, Javy Sanchez, or some of the other minority players still on the roster?

always someone trying to throw the race card around! kills me. Do you actually think that the man would have won the number of games he won by not playing the best TEAM. the individual is not the focus. The TEAM is!

Good luck to a very classy, and obviously successful, coach, one who embodies everything a prep coach should be. Congratulations, sir, on a terrific run at FHS.

I being a minority, native american, and playing under Coach Lorett, race was never an issue with him and I. So don't bring out the race card. If you you were dedicated and put in the time for Scorpion baseball you are able to make the team. He was a great teacher and a great leader. So keep the race card out if it and give this man a congratulations for a great coaching career and keeping baseball alive in the Farmington community. He will be missed.

anyone else think number 42 is a no talent FHS baseball reject who is trying to seek revenge via the the daily times comment section? seriously, get a life. coach Lo did more for this community than you will ever know and your ignorant comments do nothing but make you look like a fool. you clearly do not know him and have no place talking about him.

Don
You are to be commended for your efforts over the past 25 years. You truly set a fine example for young men to follow. It is coaches such as yourself who keep the "tradition" and "togetherness" of Farmington High School Baseball alive. Congratulations on a job well done. Good luck in your future endeavors.

I was never a player, but I've known many players and I've been told many stories...drugs and alcohol use and abuse by players...you want me to expand? If you're an ex-player you know what I'm taalking about. Who knows I may even drop your name?

the drug and alchohol was not limited to baseball. Thats a problem with high school kids in general.

And you know what Coach Lorett did when those kids were caught at parties/drinking....he kicked them off the team.

in 2000 he had to kick many of his best players off of the team. But he did because it was the right thing todo.

If those kids would have been more responsible he would most likely have another state championship.

Coach lorett was/is a great coach, rolemodel, father and citizen.

he only kicked of those players becsuse they were caught on tape, over the years there have been many others he caught and did not kick off because it was not so public.

First anytime a FHS baseball player is caught doing anything wrong it is big news. Second the start of every Baseball season the players and parents sign training rules. Coach Lo only has authority to remove a player from the team if the infraction happens within the time frame of the high school season. Outside of that time frame he cannot remove the player, however he can HELP the kid learn from his mistake through many consequences.
Lets face it Kids do stupid things and it is the job of parents, teachers, and coaches to teach right and wrong and Stupid from smart.
You my friend seem to have a serious vendetta against coach Lo, and I suggest you deal with it like a man instead of cryptic messages on this forum. I know Coach Lo would be more than happy to have a sit down and address any problems you may have. As well as the 100's of players who actually know and love the man.
