Danks start a relief for White Sox, on verge of sweeping Detroi...

Sox are gonna win the World Series. I can feel it.

I'm kinda sick of that every time the sox beat the tigers, the headline is always "the sox tame the tigers". Come on trib, come up with something new.

1) Great Job by Danks tonight, he pitched 6 2/3, gave up a walk but K'd 6!. Kid can rise to the occasion (Golf Clap)

2) Nice to see the Sox's bats haven't cooled off from last night, Thome's Bomb was a thing of beauty and set the tone for the evening.

3) I took the Latin Tub of Goo as my Pick to Click tonight. Now here's a question as far as the whole Pick to Click staus....if the guy you pick goes 0-4 but has 8 plays at 3rd and not one error does that constitute a good night?....I say it does as he saved Danks at least 2 runs with his defense.

4) Was kinda a boring game till the 7th Inning, then a knife fight brokeout on the board and it picked right back up!

4a) NEVER GET INTO A KNIFE FIGHT WITH A HOMICIDAL MANIC...You lose and he just gets even!

5) If you do get into a fight with a homicidal manic, DON'T Come to Me!, I didn't pick the fight with him!, YOU Did!!!

6) The Sox MUST win tomorrows game!, not so much that it buries the Tigers but, that it actually gives the Sox a extra 1/2 game on the Twinkees!.....Yes I'm talkin bout you Vazquez!

7) Sooo ya wanna leave Ver Lander in to face The Cuban Toothpick?!....okaaaaaaaay don't say we didn't warn ya, theres a reason he's hittin 315

8) Wow, the pen actually came in and shut the door on the Tigers and not one instance of them blowing the game....Hmmm, could they be reverting back to form?

9) So Joey "The Ticking Timebomb" Cora is now 2-0 in his managerial career, How long till he gets tossed for arguing Balls & Strikes?. I say the over/under is 4, You know ya wanna get tossed Joey, just call the Ump Helen...Helen Keller!, That'll get ya tossed Quick!!!

10) Theres 50 Games left in the season, now if my math is correct the Sox need 30 of those games, now its a tall order but if they win those games they win this division!....So our Magic Number is 30. Let the countdown begin!

the sox need to beat teams in their own division, plus teams that are below them.

why is it when the sox face a pitcher, just called up from the minors,the sox make him look like cy young;however, when the sox bring up a rookie pitcher, the opposition, shells him? the sox need to get better pitching instructors, in the minor leagues.

Good to see a starter make it deep into the game. Kind of suprised they put Jenks in the 9th in a no-save situation after last nights game. And congrats to Paulie for his 1500th hit of his career, hopefully he will hit 1501 soon!

Now that is the pitching I have been waiting for and it could not have come at a better time. Despite the recent slump by the staff performances like this can be contagious I am really looking forward to the Boston series. I'll be there on Monday night watching the White Sox close out the sweep!

Does the fact that Thome hit a home run taint the pitching performance by Danks? I know how you hate the long ball and how detrimental it is to the Sox Fortunes. Danks pitching would have been validated if all of the Sox runs were scored on singles, passed balls and stolen bases right? Too bad Thome ruined and otherwise beautiful game by Danks isn't that correct? I look forward to you expanding on these thoughts as to how White Sox fans should feel bad about this team and performance.
