Don't act so high and mighty. The Phillies salary isn't exactly low, they're in the top 5. The fact is, the Yankees have more to spend than anyone else. If they didn't do everything they could to put the best team they could on the field they would be doing a disservice to their fans.
I'm not a fan of the Phillies or the Yankees. So I really didn't care who won.

The Phillies did quite well in a couple of games. The Yanks weren't as unhittable as you think.

I am laughing... the comments are crazy!! no matter what it is always goes the team who can take the win takes the trophy. Football all teams. To me by what I read and heard on TV yankees came out on that field with heart when you have heart you win!!!!! It seems like all philadelphia fans are bittet that includes football fans

I don't like either team, but i'm glad the Yankees won, because now all the bandwagon phillies fans can put all the stuff they bought in the last month away. They can also stop pretending they know anything about baseball.

Ryan Howard, Jimmy Rollins, Ryan Madson, Chase Utley, and Brett Myers, to name a few, played in Reading. We'll see how well the Yankees play next year, since Matsui's contract is over and will most likely not be playing with the team next year.
