Oh give me a break, the owner didn't know about the party in his own building. For god sake, like someone would break into the building and set up a party. The owner just needs to fess up and pay the fines.

What about the presumption of innocence? The building's owner is a hard working guy who has dedicated his life to improving this poor neighborhood. Of course he did not know about the party. It doesn't even make sense that he had had knowledge. Why would he risk his property and liability? Do the math. But the media wants it to be this juicy story. Anyone could have broken in or stolen the keys.... I think it is dead wrong to accuse this hard working guy. It certainly seems like the city and the police are trying to harass the owner. No wonder there are few people like him who want to make major investments in the City of Milwaukee when the police and city dump all over owners like him.

I think they might be trying to paint the owner into a corner as well. dance parties at vacant lots are guerilla style. they happen when know one knows until you get a message telling everyone where to show up. somebody organized this and it went down. happens all the time completely illegally.

I did the math and it doesn't add up. His property, his responsibility. Period. If he was complicit, all the more reason to toss on additional charges. The news reports say he changed his story a few times. That doesn't add up either.

You FAIL!

You want to talk about responsibility? This investor is a VICTIM of a crime- a break in. The property was locked, he is being framed by the police. What about his investment? How is he going to attract a retail tenant if there are bars all over the windows and the property looks like a demilitarized zone? The police and city should support owners and not deter investment with "witch hunts" like this one.

Speaking from exprience. I sold my house to Paul serveral months ago and since then the house looks abandon. It appears that he is purchase several builing & homes in this area and he has done absoulety NOTHING TO THEM..........I think the City should get a listing of all the property he has purchase within last two years and see what the total fines will be.

Having known Paul for the better part of the past 34 years (since birth) I would bet a million bucks on the fact that he did not know about the party. Not only that but if he did know he would have been the first one contacting the police to shut it down and arrest those responsible.

He didn't quit his job in the real estate division of WE Energies and move down into the city to develop a ghetto neighborhood that includes illegal raves and gun carrying bouncers. He has been trying to help redevelop a neighborhood that he believe in so much that he has invested both great amounts of time and money in.

Furthermore, I find it sad that good people like him are the ones who experience all of the negative attacks that they do. Physically attacked by tenants that don't pay rent and don't want to take responsibility for their own evictions. Attacked by city employees and politicians (some corrupt) that don't want people like Paul to make a difference bettering the community. Attacked by the media who just want a juicy story. I don't know the specifics but I assume the arrest, tickets, and fines will work their way out in the court system so I'll refrain from speaking out in regards to the way the police handled the situation as far as Paul was concerned.

Yet so often we ponder why Milwaukee isn't a better and safer community filled with people who care for their community and one another. Isn't it obvious? We chase them and their magnificent ideas right out of town. What Milwaukee really needs is for a few of the great philanthropists of this community to step forward and allign themselves with people like Paul Bachowski and really make a difference.

a) I'm a multiple property owner in the city of Milwaukee,

b) I give absolutely NO CREDENCE to anonymous people posting supposedly 1st hand information as they very well could be lying through their teeth.

c) Too bad the investor wasn't more truthful, more diligent and more responsible for his own property. Hell, I know within minutes (usually) if something fishy is going on around my properties.

d) Lastly, it's the old, tired cliche' "I wuz framed" excuse. Then to blame it on the cops with absolutely no corroborating or even anecdotal evidence? There is a word they use online - BWAAAAAAAAAA!

I do know Paul and I am also a commercial real estate broker. If the gun toting DJ was indeed an authorized user, he would have a lease or something in writing. The police arrested this property owner and threw him in jail based on some law breaker simply pointing the finger at him. The media CLAIM that he changed his story, but we weren't there. What does the actual police report say? I bet he was doing everything he could to avoid them calling a 24 hour board up service. How can you lease a boarded up building? What would it do to his building's facade? Can somebody show me the paper trail? I understand the city wanting to protect its citizens through enforcing deadbeat landlords with property code violations that pose a serious risk to safety, but this reeks of totalitarianism. The building owner will be vindicated in court and the DJ or party planner will be found out and arrested. Somebody had to send the email and organize the party. And that person should go to jail. The owner went on the record and says "this was an unauthorized use". How much more clear can he be than that?

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Capricorn

Someone is in a finger-wagging mood and unfortunately they seem to be concentrating on you! Maybe they think you've fallen from grace for some reason, or perhaps you're simply the only person who happens to be around when they feel like letting off steam. Do your best not to fall into an equally critical and disgruntled mood, because it will soon make you feel wretched.
