After 18-year-ban, Pentagon lets media document return of war dead

Why does it matter? every one of these brave men & women we're mudered by the hands of this rouge Government.
You honor their memories by telling the truth & placing them in harms way "ONLY" when this Republic is in threat of imminent danger.

A reporter asked a U.S. soldier in Iraq if he thought the U.S. could win the war and his answer was, "You can't win a crime".

Interesting, if showing just the coffins of the middle east conflict were so wrong after 18 yrs. What's the deal of bringing high school kids into a morgue to see the effect of drunk driving? The analogy is the same, people die.

I think when people see coffins it kinda ruins that fairy tale (propaganda) about being greeted as "liberators".

Gee I didn't Know "W" had been POTUS for 18 years. I guess that time period includes the undeclared (and unauthorized by the UN) Bosnia war.

pitiful children and flag drape coffins.
YES! we should see and embrace the honor of these beautiful and brave men and women, "this is their moment for all times". we should beat the hell out of those that want to politicize this, in order to embarrass one political party or the other. YES! we as americans should share in this moment, there's no need being shame of the fallen.

Wonderful, we needed something to demoralize our soldiers even further...Putting our own soldiers in jail for doing their jobs (i.e., killing the enemy) just wasn't enough!
Neither was a constant media onslaught where--protected by the very soldiers they sought to undermine--the media showed our enemies as "victims" at every turn...So how did "victims" kill 4,000+ Americans?

Moreover, anytime a foreign thug kills an American soldier, they take the attitude that it was "self defense" by the thug, yet an American killing a few terrorists is a horrible crime!

Does anyone else feel this is kind of backwards?

Personally, I feel that we should just clear-cut the "country", starting with the mosques, the marks of the evil bandit-cult killing our soldiers. But that would never work, because it's more profitable to TREAT a condition than CURE it!

I saw an "art" picture somewhere that had flags as Obama's teeth. It would be more appropriate to have flag-draped coffins as his teeth.

Leftist scum, even some of the senators and congressmen, have the blood of half our honorable dead troops on their hands by leaking security information, giving the enemy talking and recruitment points, slandering our own troops, publishing known to be falsified pictures demeaning our troops... And on and on.

The foul democrats got elected on falsehoods and criminal treason. The are guilty as sin for undercutting and demoralizing our own fine men and women of the military. They've demoralized the whole country and continue their lies against this nation. Now, they get to disrespect more families and more dead heroes with pictures of Obama's teeth.

One step further and we can do graveside interviews with the family. Heck maybe Keith Olberman and Chris Mathews can do a live news report during the viewing?

Just remember that sometimes there are people on that plane in doing escort duty that don't want their picture taken (i.e. spec war).

Has easily has a family can give permission, so to can the press take advantage of the situstion and opportunity. Remember, to a freelance photographer those photo's pay well.

This is not good. The government needs to censor this sort of thing and create more positive propaganda so that the nation will fully support our foreign wars. We are fighting wars on two fronts, now is not the time for dissent and protest. We must stand united, and seeing coffins will only serve to spark controversy and dissent.

What reasoning did they offer when they allowed this insult to our men and women in uniform. What do they believe they will gain from politicising the return of the fallen? Why would anyone want to repeat the beginning of the degredation suffered by Viet Nam vets ?

Why not? The media already outed a CIA agent, gives away military positions, and despite using the Americans as human shields, takes every opportunity to get interviews with the foreign scum we're supposed to be KILLING!

First, how can the press find the terrorist leaders and our military can't?
Second, isn't not turning in an enemy the same as collaboration, i.e. a treasonous offense?
