Marine calls fellow Marine anti-gay slur, stabs him to death near 8th St. barracks

Apr 23, 2012 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Washington Blade

D.C. police chose not to list as a hate crime an April 21 incident in which one U.S. Marine allegedly stabbed another Marine to death after reportedly calling him an anti-gay slur on a D.C. street, according to a police incident report.

This is why we must end homophobia. Homophobes ruin people's lives and are violent criminals more often than not.

What if there were no homosexuality instead?

It's an evolutionary aberration that serves no purpose in advancing the species. What evolutionary purpose does it serve? It's like an appendix or an earlobe. I guess it doesn't hurt anything, but it doesn't do any good either.

Or it's like incest or pedophelia - sexual preferences that run counter to improving and continuing the species.

Way to fail at understanding evolution. There is a huge evolutionary advantage to species that exhibit homosexuality in moderate amounts. It forms a bond between those of the species that is stronger, allowing them to work together more effectively. See the history of Sparta for such an example.

Also, our breeding habits are pushing the boundaries of our resources, the majority of the population goes without even basic needs now because of our population growth being too high, and if this trend does not slow we could cause a complete collapse of civilization for a long duration. So in essence, we could have more than 50% of the world's population be homosexual and our growth rate would balance out.

Then there is the fact that there is less than 1% of the human population who is homosexual, meaning, it has no impact in the species at all right now. Making your entire point moot.

People that choose to be homosexual perverts want welfare for their choices.
The Democrat party exists to pay people welfare/foodstamps who can't make it on their own in exchange for voting Democrat.
Democrats just promise the chumps a few dollars in exchange for their dignity.
People who have actual dignity by making their own way or starting their own business are absolutely despised by Democrats.
Their president says if we worked hard for everything we have, we 'didn't do that'.

Well then how come most people love Chick-fil-A and hate queers?
Your theory is just so much bunk, the product of a primitive and defective mind.
Queers despise all human freedoms.
Chick-fil-A supports American freedoms.

Wouldn't it be great if homosexuals could bring themselves to pledge to cut down on their homosexual-pedophilia?
Of course that will never happen, because adult homosexuals consider it a right to have sex with little kids.

A vast majority of humans believed, and some do today even, that the Earth is flat. The majority can be wrong quite often, and more often than not the majority is wrong.

Your entire post is nonsense, likely stemming from the fear which is very clear in your choice of words. Religion is the product of the primitive mind, science is the product of a well developed mind. Religion agrees with you, science abhors your ideas.

I doubt many people ever believed the Earth was flat, and doubt that many still do.

Eratosthenes measured the diameter of the Earth, within 2%, about 325 BCE. So the fact that the Earth is a sphere, and the fact that it's diameter, radius, circumference, and volume were known with great accuracy well more than 2000 years ago, shows that very few people "believed the Earth was flat".

(Also many ancient peoples were excellent navigators, and knowing the Earth is a sphere is essential to accurate navigation).(And even the ancient Egyptians were aware of the precession of the equinoxes, and measured it accuately more than 4500 years ago. How many people today are aware of the precession of the equnoxes and can explain it ?)

So repeating this silly myth that "people believed the Earth was flat" is as silly a myth as "Columbus discovered America". Both statements are ridiculously untrue.

Now if you disagree, do you have any sources you can cite to back up your contention that "people believed the Earth was flat" ?

And along those lines, what is the furthest distance that the average person can see with the unaided eye ?

Actually, there was a time in Europe's history in which questioning that the Earth was flat was punishable by death, it was considered blasphemy. The analogy comes from that specific era, in which almost everyone in that region did believe it was flat.

Anyone with any knowledge in ancient history knows that most of the really ancient cultures, like ancient Egypt, knew it was round. Just like today, most of the world accepts gay marriage and equal rights for all, but within the portions that don't, the majority does not. Using an analogy for the entire globe would not fit will when relating to an aspect that is mostly concentrated in one region.

So you are unable to provide any evidence whatsoever that people years ago believe dte Earh was flat.

Simple logic proves that nobody could've believed this. If a person looks at The Moon (Luna), then one is seeing an object at least 225,000 miles distant, in a straight line.

Yet, people in ancient times could see that a ship disappears over the horizon after roughly 20 miles distance. Now IF the earth was flat, then once could see the ship 100 miles away, or 1000 miles away, just as one can see Luna over 250,000 miles away, or the Sun (Sol) more than 90,000,000 miles away.

Since once sees the ship disappear over the horizon just 20 miles away proves the Earth is spherical and the ancients knew this. For the practical reason of simply navigating from port to port across the Mediterranean Sea, this is an essential understanding.

It's idiots like you who countinue to spout the nonsense that ancient peoples believed the Earth was flat. It just AINT TRUE !

Now, can you cite ANY evidence that "people believed the Earth was flat" ?!

And marine navigation is an art that is THOUSANDS of years old.

Claims like this are what get antigay groups on the SPLC's list of hate groups. Exactly the type of claim you have made here. To the letter.

It would be interesting to see you say this in court to a judge and then WATCH YOU interacting with a rep from the SPLC -- in front of a judge, right while he was sitting there -- and see what kind of excuse you attempted to come up with as to WHY you think this SHOULDN'T get one a designation on a watch list of hate groups.

In front of the judge, and a courtroom, and various attorneys, at least one of whom would likely be cross-examining you.
