Motorcyclist dies in ESL collision with SUV

“He lost control of the motorcycle and struck a Ford Explorer. The motorcycle split in half. He flew over the truck and landed on a 2002 Chevrolet”

A 43-year-old Missouri man was killed after he lost control of his motorcycle and slammed into the side of a Ford Explorer, splitting the motorcycle in half.

The victim, Jeffery Oliver, lived at 7440 Balfour Drive in St. Louis, East St. Louis Detective Michael Floore said.

Oliver was thrown by the impact and landed on another vehicle about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

The crash was in the 2400 block of State Street.

Witnesses told police that Oliver was traveling at a high rate of speed, heading west on State Street. The Explorer had turned off 24th Street and was heading east, Floore said. Read more

Jeffery Oliver was a great man and Father,son, brother,and uncle to many. He was my uncle and he will be miss dearly. He is a very loved by many, and will never been forgotten.

To the family of the Oliver Family, you all are in my thoughts and prayers. Jeff was my c-worker and I will truely miss our conversations about work, and God. It was a honor and blessing to know him and he is forever in my thoughts and his family is forever in my prayers.Remember when those days get hard for you that Mervy reaches the thrown of God. To the Oliver Family,
Words cant express our sympathy. I've had the pleasure of meeting the Olivers while a member of Christ Community Temple COGIC. I'll continue to pray for you and may God strengthen you in the days and months to come. You all know that there is nothing too hard from him and he will definitely see you through!
