Motorcyclist dies in ESL collision with SUV
“He lost control of the motorcycle and struck a Ford Explorer. The motorcycle split in half. He flew over the truck and landed on a 2002 Chevrolet”
A 43-year-old Missouri man was killed after he lost control of his motorcycle and slammed into the side of a Ford Explorer, splitting the motorcycle in half.
The victim, Jeffery Oliver, lived at 7440 Balfour Drive in St. Louis, East St. Louis Detective Michael Floore said.
Oliver was thrown by the impact and landed on another vehicle about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night.
The crash was in the 2400 block of State Street.
Witnesses told police that Oliver was traveling at a high rate of speed, heading west on State Street. The Explorer had turned off 24th Street and was heading east, Floore said. Read more
