Father pleads guilty in overdose death of infant daughter

A former Ansonia man has pleaded guilty to criminal charges related to the death of his 7-month-old daughter, who died of an overdose of cocaine and cold medicine three years ago.

Forty-two-year-old Steven Bobbins pleaded guilty in Derby Superior Court to risk of injury to a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia, charges that carry more than 10 years in prison. Sentencing is set for June 5.

Similar charges against the child's mother, Lois Tremblay, are pending. She is free on bail and her next court appearance is April 23. Read more

10 years is not enough for what those two did to that beautiful little girl. She never had a chance with them as "parents". From inhaling drugs while in the uterus to dieing from them after is what Brianna's life was like. Fed cold medicine to sleep so they could do their drugs and not be bothered. Two people who only cared about themselves, definately not about Brianna Rose, i hope she gets a lot more then he did!

You are so right. People pay lots of money to have a baby and this low life kills his. I was going to take in a foster child once. a beautiful 2 year old.. i can't tell you how much i loved this baby.. he was mine.. two days be fore he was going come live with me her foster dad killed her and walked free. this was 32 years ago and i still get sick thinking that my angel is gone.. and this person is free......Just not right.
