Allentown principal hired to take reins of Northampton's elementaries
The principal of Allentown's Raub Middle School will become the new principal of the Northampton Borough Elementary Schools, officials announced Monday in Northampton.
Lori Gibbs, who has been an administrator in Allentown schools for nearly five years, will replace retiring Principal Darrell Crook as head of Northampton's Siegfried, Washington and Franklin elementary schools. The three buildings are run as a single school of roughly 950 students.
The Northampton Area School Board voted 8-0, with board member Geraldine Skrapits absent, to approve Gibbs' hire Monday night. Read more
