Suite Life
Many of the biggest deals in business have long been made outside conference rooms, far from company doors.

Actually, more people do business, socialize and have a great time drinking/ eating THAN watching the Iron Pigs play!

I prefer the REAL seats with the REAL fans enjoying a baseball game. I have had the suite experience and don't like it.
Oh. I wonder how much those businesses increase the costs of products & services because of the very high prices for the suites? |

Since we all contribute to the outrageous profits of PPL - a PUBLIC utility company, does that mean we all get to use the PPL Suite?

I agree; I too enjoy a seat next to the field seeing the action up close, whether basketball, football, hockey, or baseball.
I can hob nob with these guys too many place, sometimes I just need the relaxation and enjoyment of the game in its simplistic form. This is the real beauty of sports. I could watch a baseball game, it it were little league and 18 players, 6 coaches and I the only fan. My job does not determine my identity. I extend my identity into the job. They can keep thier sky boxes. It is a waste of marketing and PR money. I do not allow them in any of my businesses, nor do I encourage any of my salespersons to extend any gift over $100. They can buy tickets and go to any sporting event in the world, as long as it is less than $100 per person they are taking and that they are producing. Otherwise, these perks are wasteful expenses on my income statement. |

I have a suite. There is nothing wrong with having one. Yes, you do pay money for them. So what. It's very enjoyable. Everyone has a good time.

Maybe the pigs should spent a little more money on players NOT fancy box seats. When they break 500 someone may care.

You have to look at the photo closely, but it is PPL Energy Plus that owns the suite, not PPL Electric Utilities (the public utility part of the company). I work for PPL Electric Utilities, and I didn't even know that PPL Energy Plus had a suite, and I will never get to set foot in it. |

Coca Cola... sugar water that can eat the paint off a car and is poisoning the increasingly obese and diabetic youth of America. I am sooo proud.

the companies pay for the suite not the iron pigs. plus they are a brand new team this year. Next year will be a great year for them. |

Hey West Allentown... Taxpayers around the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania paid for this ballpark and I think it's a SHAME! If the owners of the team or the Phillies wanted a stadium, THEY should have paid for it. This love of suites, skyboxes and all that crap shows that people are not interested in baseball in its purist form. I've been to a Super Bowl and I saw first hand that it's a corporate event, not a championship football game. Owners DO NOT care about the "real" fans; you West Allentown ARE NOT a baseball fan. You have a suite at the Pig Pen (Coke Stadium) so isn't that so kewl. But YOU ARE NOT a baseball fan so don't pretend to be. |
