'Wife Swap' brings new reality to King George family

The Burroughs are the most self-centered grotesque pair of people I've yet seen on this series. Bravo to the casting director. I wonder what surgeries Shannon Nicole will get with the 20k honorarium the show provides.

There is no way that chick is 33. She looks like she is closer to 50 than 40. She is such a stereotype. Her skin is orange and her hair is stupid looking. And animal print is for old ladies. Her lips are ugly and she has a fat ass.

I just watched this show. I currently live in New Jersey. That woman, the plastic one, makes me want to leave this state and never return.

I cannot believe that people like Shannon really exist in the world. "cartoon character" is dead on -- she reminds you of cruella deville. ugh, what a mess that woman is. I feel bad those nice people had that wretched woman in their home. Why do trashy people think they're beautiful and have good taste. She's got tacky and clueless written all over her. Sad those animals had to die to be draped over such a vile piece of garbage. If there's any justice in the world one of her implants will get infected and she'll become disfigured. Her kids don't stand a chance of being decent human beings.

Shannon needs to see a medical doctor, she is absolutely out of her mind. I feel sorry for her kids. Disgusting waste of a person. She looks like she was dipped in orange gel and then threw on tons of gawdy costume jewelry.

Watching Shannon on the show was like watching a spoiled 16-year-old. It's all about her, her money, and her looks. Amazingly irresponsible, amazingly neurotic, amazingly vain. She assaulted Hickman with her plastic breasts...that says it all. One could actually wish that he gets laid-off and she's forced to cut up her credit cards. But he seems like a nice guy (after his initial temper-tantrum) that is starting to stand up to Little Miss Priss.

Wealthy??? Maby by south Jersey standards. You can't even buy a 1 bedroom condo in North Jersey for the price of their house. She was so obnoxious and disrespectful to that man ...and in front of his children no less. 33?? a hard 33.

What a f***in b**ch that Shannon was. I have ZERO tolerance for people like that. If someone dared talked to me like that, my fist would be in their face. She was a disgrace to both that show and her own family as she has absolutely ZERO respect for her own husband. I sure hope her kids DON'T become like her. Fat chance, huh! BTW, if I was Steve Hickman, I'd actually kick her a** out of my house, literally within the first minute.

I've been a long time watcher of wife swap; however, I think this episode went too far. To have a woman like Shannon Nicole on the show to degrade a family the way she did was appalling. I don’t care how much or how little money a person has, does not make them better than the next. How dare you look down on someone else because of the lifestyle they chose!!! God has blessed you with the things you possess and he can certainly take it away. Wife Swap, I know you are looking for ratings, but to humiliate a family the way YOU did was a big turn off. The Hickman’s deserve an apology from your show and from the Burrough’s family. Do the right thing.

I think that wanna be Barbie doll, more like broke down Bratz doll is a self centered, mean spirited witch. I feel to diss Hickman's in puplic like that is just wrong. I like the Hickman's simple way of life and as long as they are healthy, there kids are in school and fed etc. and it works for them fine. Shannon Nicole is unrealistic and needs to get a refund for her plastic surgery she looks hidious since she likes to diss how bad the Hickman's look.And who is she to just push her shoulder into him and knock him down to the couch, that must be why her husband has no backbone, she slap him around.

I agree with all the comments thus far. Can someone clarify why the Burrough's both go by "Shannon"? It could happen...but....Are these truly their first names or is something weird going on? My first thought was that Mr. Burroughs modified his name at his wife's behest!

This is the only episode I've ever watched, and I was appalled. I can only hope that she will watch the episode and realize how her behavior is an embarrassment to herself and her family. I laughed pretty hard when the husband said, "Go ahead and spit on me," and she replied, "I'm too classy for that." Really? Really????

It was disgraceful that shannon was allowed to belittle this man in front of his children. A producer should have yelled "cut". Shannon Nicole is certainly on UN classy broad.

Shannon Burroughs would have been hillarious if not for her disgusting personality.

For a woman (allegedly) who places such a high regard on "class" and looks, she could easily pass for an old drag queen.
