MyChoiceMedical bought out those plastic surgery message boards found through facialplasticsurgery.net . ADAPTIVE MARKETING, a branch of VERTRUE is the Registrant of the domain name; facialplasticsurgery.net
VERTRUE the parent company of MyChoiceMedical is being sued for CONSUMER FRAUD.
Any Google search of; "VERTRUE and CONSUMER FRAUD" will call up a lot of consumer complaint sites including those of the BBB and the Attorney General which describe the "schemes" and "scams".
Consumer fraud complaints of MyChoiceMedical's parent company have to do with consumers giving their credit information to one company name but having 'mysterious' charges from another company name on their credit cards. VERTRUE operates through a variety of different domain names as does MyChoiceMedical.com . The different names is what confuses consumers.
Plastic surgery patients would be giving their CREDIT info to one of VERTRUES subsidiaries that manages or markets FINANCE programs.
Consider that VERTRUE the parent company to the PLASTIC SURGERY FINANCING management subsidiary, MyChoiceMedical is being sued for consumer fraud because one of the schemes the attorney general has them up for has to do with consumers giving their credit info to ANOTHER company but then finding charges on their credit cards from companies they never actually gave their credit card info to.
10 to 1 the average plastic surgery consumer visiting the plastic surgery message boards found through facialplasticsurgery.net is totally CLUELESS that the place has been taken over by a subsidiary of VERTRUE. 10 to 1 on another bet that they will change the domain name of the message boards as that's what VERTRUE is known for among the consumer advocates going after fraud; it morphs into another name so consumers stay clueless about the complaints they get
How convenient that the subsidiary of VERTRUE is extending an open arm to collect credit information for financing from plastic surgery patients.

This is a link to the Attorney General in Iowa suing Vertrue for consumer fraud. An excerpt:
"...The suit alleges that .....primary methods of selling membership programs begins when a consumer makes a telephone call for a totally-unrelated purpose, such as a call to a credit card company's customer service department, or a call to order a product advertised on a TV infomercial........Miller said that some consumers don't anticipate or look for any charge, in part because they never provided their credit card number to purchase the membership; MemberWorks obtained the credit card number from the "partner" business that the consumer called in the first place...."

Totally Agree. The new ownership is not at all prominently displayed and there is certainly no mention that Vertrue (company sued for consumer fraud) is the parent company. The new domain name they are using is "NewImage" .com

The mod was mentioning that after one poster noticed the prior photo gallery was gone and another was confused as to "what happened" to the site. Yet she deleted the string.

Consumers should know what the corporate affiliations are whether or not the company that bought them out wants them to know it or not.

I mean, when patients look for a PS, one thing to do is to look up if he has any law suits. Consumers should be able to do similar for cosmetic surgery information sites if they are owned by a parent company that has a lot of law suits.

I would like to share my experience with all of you.

I did Rinoplasty, Lipo and Breast Implant in Bogota-Colombia in a Clinic Call CORPO PERFEITO www.clinicorpoperfeito.com , I was surprised how good their service are and how unique are there treatment with International patients, I felt like home and also the results are excelents.

I definetelly reccommend. Also the price is not even close to what I would pay here in the USA.

I do undrestand that a lot of people is scare about going to South america, but this is definetely the place to go. It's really close to us ( 3-4 hours flying) also they offer a Safety that you will love. Even me was scared about going to Colombia, but now I wish I need a fix every month so I can go back there and visit the wonderfull stuff of Clinic Corpo perfeito. You will love too.

Hello Donna, I was hoping that you could help me answer a question about my tummy tuck. Am I suppossed to have a vertical 3 inch incision and scar coming out of the horizontal incision? I have never heard of this before. When I asked about it after surgery, the nurse said, "Oh that just the way that Dr. V. does it. I am still sore and have trouble moving after 8 months. Any suggestions??

Be smart. Don't go to companies selling "packages." They charge you AT LEAST 3 to 4 times what the doctors actually charge. If you speak to the locals who went to the same doctor, you'll blow your lid when you realize how badly you've been scammed. Especially if you are from overseas, like Europe, America or Asia. They see you as a big money sign.

THe smart thing: pay a few bucks for someone to translate an e-mail for you. Contact a few doctors for their pics (these are the same doctors and pics the clinics use. Or just ask the clinics what doctor they use and google that doctor for the contact info). You will see the price they qoute you is a tiny fraction of what you will be charged by the "clinics."

Once you land, pay for your own hotel. Pay a few bucks for a translator. Even bringing one is a lot cheaper than paying the clinic. There are a lot of nurses their experienced in plastic surgery and they need jobs there so put up one flyer and you will get a ton of responses or just ask the concierge. you will get one for probably a tenth of what the clinic charges and it will most likely be the same girl they use when they have work but she will get all the salary you pay directly.

Do your own booking and work and you will save literally thousands and thousands of dollars or pounds and will avoid paying "American" prices. The clinics pad their bills and basically charge you whatever they want b/c they think you will pay. Hope this helps!! I wish I knew this a loooong time ago!

1) She's not even a girl. 2) It's probably the owners. 3) The person does not live in the USA like the ad imply judging by the poor english. 4) This company is a scam probably like the one above.

They're are obviously preying on helpless Americans that wouldn't know any better what the real prices are for these things versus what they will actually charge an American.

If you are considering surgery in the USA or Europe I would highly suggest you consider looking into going for surgery in South America. Brazil, Colombia and Argentina are all well known for there surgeons and they truly are a step above there USA and European counterparts. The one thing to consider when traveling to South America is travel distance Brazil and Argentina are much further than Colombia from Europe and the USA. In the case of the USA, Colombia is 2.5 hours from Miami and Brazil and Argentina 6-9 depending on where you are going. Now you have exchange rates Brazil has the strongest currency exchange rate vs the Dollar and Euro therefore the savings is not really comparable to Argentina and Colombia. So in my opinion I would say you are now left to choose between Argentina and Colombia. I have been researching many companies in all of these countries and you can see from my written passage here I have done my research. When comparing all factors as to Board Certified Physicians, Accommodations, Customer service, Price, Travel time, and overall experience of previous clients. I would say dollar for dollar the best company I have found is Cosmetic Harmony. I have been receiving quotes from so many companies over the past 5 months trying to figure out with one to choose. My experience with them Cosmetic Harmony has been nothing but top notch. First of all they have as USA office in Florida.#1 thing that made me feel comfortable. They also have a Panama office and then of course a Colombia one. I requested a quote from them which I received in 2 hours unlike some other companies which I received weeks later or never got back to me. I have found that probably the best way to go about choosing a clinic is to go to that clinic site like http://www.beautyinprague.com and see if they have former patient testimonials. Many of these patients even leave there emails for contact so that you can personally speak with them. That and you should always ask people you know your coworker and your friends.
