"After 10 weeks, participants in both massage groups reported greater average improvements in pain and functioning compared to those in the usual care (chiropractic) group. And the type of massage they received didn't seem to matter."

So:

Massage is better than chiropractic at helping back pain.

That is just stating the obvious. Something most of us already knew.

Now, insurance companies need to wake up and stop reimbursing chiropractors for needless care.

Folks, in case you missed it, a few months ago 'wisdom' called all nurses (yes, NURSES)'quacks'. Here are wisdom's EXACT words on nurses (a direct quote from wisdom--it's difficult to fathom), wisdom said, "All nurses are quacks since they didn't need to take an entrance exam to get into nursing school. You can't trust nurses. Nurses, like Forrest Gump would say,'are like a box of chocolates--you never know what you're going to get."
What a SCUMBAG. How can ANY thinking human say that about nurses??? Wisdom is depraved, so he's not like any thinking human. Wisdom has called nurses 'liars' as well. WHY?????
So let's sit back and see what other pearls of 'wisdom' this dumb ass can give us.

Such anger from the chiropractor aerial.

No wonder. When massage has been shown to be just as effective as the bizarre techniques chiropractorts use. No wonder their angry.

And why the nurse bashing aerial? They are the very best part of health care.

We all make spelling errors from time to time and typographical errors, but I thought you claimed to be educated - a professor or something, and yet demonstrate a very basic lack of knowledge of the difference in an English pronoun and a subject followed by a verb.

Pet peeve. That for me betrays all claims of one's intelligence, credentials and education as false.

"native" I see the profanity laced and lie filled quote by the chiropractor aerial didn't bother you, only my grammatical error.

You are such a hypocritical idiot.

"pet peeve" ... hypocrites.

but again, you added nothing to the topic at hand. "Massage is just as good as chiropractic."

And it is. So long as a chiropractor doesn't try to diagnose anything more than a strain/sprain.

Native, see that? First, you have more authority to treat patients than the jerk, wisdom. He keeps padding his fake resume with one phoney phd after the other. He has no chiropractic/medical degree or license, and therefore cannot treat anyone without first taking orders from someone with a REAL degree and license.
Wisdom is the only one here who agrees with him. He's known here as the resident liar and fraud. Never before will you see someone like wisdom bang the "I'm an expert" bible so loud who is so obviously void of any meaningful credentials.
And you are right, wisdom knows little to nothing about chiropractic and even less about neurology. I know more neurology than wisdom--by far. He lacks even the most basic understanding anatomy and physiology--as was pointed out by a board certified MD neurologist, citing that all wisdom knows about neurology is "what he read in last month's Reader's Digest then made it his own."
Native, I admire your work and your dedication to your profession.

Thanks Aerial. BTW, is there an age requirement for this board? Has anyone made sure to keep children off the board, because it does not seem very professional or adult, but rahter adolescent.

"native" and chiropractor "aerial. Two people very much alike.

Aerial said, "What a SCUMBAG and lies about me calling nurses "quacks".

And "native" says, "is there an age requirement"?

ha ha ha Really?

The quack aerial claimed he's an expert in wound care and "native" just shakes her head in agreement. Because, of course, whatever the chiropractor says must be true.

Critical thinking at its best.

Remember "native", don't ever question outrageous claims that chiropractors make. Ever.

Native, get wisdom's last post. Just like dirty old men posing online as rich young studs to scam unsuspecting, honest women, wisdom can make up any lie he wants about his 'educational' background while hiding behind his computer. He can say any old thing he wants. They're all lies, though. There is nothing in his posts that suggests he knows more about neurology than what you would read in a two paragraph National Enquirer article. Even a board certified MD neurologist said as much about wisdom's lack of knowledge.
I know loads more neurology than wisdom can dream of. If we ever debated neurology he would be out of ammo in less than two minutes.
I will gladly debate this fraud once he posts some REAL credentials, like, oh, I don't know, an MD degree, a DC degree, a DO degree--you know, something that allows someone to sit for a state license and independently treat and diagnose human disease. You know, something like that. Until that day arrives, no debate.
Native, now sit back and enjoy wisdom's response to this. You'll never see dancing like it ever again. His dancing around this challenge would put Fred Astaire to shame. Watch. You'll see.

Yeah, what would a PhD in neurophysiology know about neuromuscular disorders and the like? Four years of intensive training and treating patients in all areas of critical care. Of course, nothing like the "intensive" experience that chiropractic students get at the sherman, life , logan and palmer quack factories.

And remember, the PhD is only one of my professional health care degrees.
I treat critically ill patients every day.

And I don't make bizarre claims like aerial did, like curing "deep wounds". Or make outrageous chiropractic claims like curing addiction, ADHD, bedwetting, and sexual dysfunction.

You quacks are too much. thanks for posting. Your immature posts make my points better than I could.

Now, aerial, where did you think you were trained in wound care again? Thor? he he he You lying dumb ass quack.

Notice as wisdom gets more and more and more frustrated, his fake degrees get more and more and more prestigious. Oh, now his phd is from (get this)'an ivy league school'. Funny, it was just from a run of the mill college before. But now it's ivy league. Right fraud.

Notice how the above fraud, wisdom, DANCES around that ever so difficult question, "What are your credentials." This deceiving sack, wisdom, is NOT an MD or a DC. He would have said so if he were and banging that credential bible. Oh, but wait--that sly fox is dropping hints! Ooooo, so utterly clever of that liar. Says the liar, wisdom,"And remember, the PhD is only one of my professional health care degrees.
I treat critically ill patients every day." Oh, I remember alright. AHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA. I remember that this sack doesn't have ANY real degrees that would entitle him to treat anyone for anything. Ok, fraud then what are these 'mysterious' degrees? he he he
A phlebotomist has training and works with critically ill patients. So does an orderly. So does a tech who administers EMGs, but first has to take ORDERS from someone with authority.
This fraud, wisdom, can list all the (he he)"Ivy League" phd's he wants. NONE of them entitles this fraud to independently treat anyone for anything. Conclusion: wisdom is a fraud because he still hasn't coughed up them thar credentials that would allow him to independently treat anyone. Oh, but wait, a man with at least 29 years of college still has time to talk to us little people. The BIG lie, I guess, is the most believable. What a desperate con.

Aerial, it seems Wisdom listed one of his credentials. A very impressive one at that. A PhD in neurophysiology is an incredible achievement.

I've been around many chiropractors throughout the years. I've taken chiropractic courses and seminars from the brightest of the brightest chiropractors.

None could ever compare to the rigorous traing that Wisdom received. Many chiropractors never realize just how difficult and emanding it is to get doctorates in other fields such as neurology. While chiropractors take a few basic neurology courses, a PhD takes many in addition to doing extensive research. Frankly there is very little research in ALL of chiropractic. Sad but true.

It is not Wisdom who makes outrageous claims, it is you and thousands of other chiropractors who have given chiropractic a bad name. You'd think that we could advance past the subluxation theory and become evidence based. But no.

You're right Dr. Callahan. Your "colleague" has no respect for decency. He has spent hours trashing the medical field. The problem as I see it for you is that there are only a few chiropractors who are ethical and honest. It has become far to difficult for chiropractors to make an honest living.

Many chiropractors have resorted to conning desperate people out of their hard earned money by claiming they can treat disorders which are far outside their "expertise". As exemplified by aerial claiming he's an expert in wound care.

He a lost soul. There is hope for him though. He sounds very young and immature. But at least he reads "chirotalk".

Thanks for posting doc.

AHHHHHHHHHH HA HA HA AH HA! Unbelievable!! Wisdom, who is proven FRAUD is again throwing his "Hail Mary" ,'Dr. Callahan' again!!! AHHHHH HA AH AH AH.
Folks, Callahan IS, yes IS wisdom. Each and every time--EACH and EVERY time wisdom gets exposed as a fraud, he enlists 'Dr Callahan' to defend him. But they are one and the same. Yes they are.
Enlisting 'dr callahan' is just the fraud's, er, wisdom's way of DANCING around that ever so difficult question: What are you REAL expert credentials." Sure, the fraud, wisdom, can sit behind that dusty computer of his and claim ANYTHING he wants. Oh, I don't know, he can claim he has 'ivy league' phds (6 in all!!--WOW!)but do you see any MD or DC or DO degree there? NOPE! You don't see ANY degree that entitles the fraud, wisdom, to independently treat anyone for anything--that is, without FIRST taking orders from a someone who has a REAL TREATING degree and license. NOPE! NOPE! NOPE!
Even with a 'phd in neurophiz'(wisdom lied about that) you STILL CANNNOT treat, as the liar put it,' hundreds of critically ill patients a week'.
No, fraud, you cannot. Last I checked you need a real medical/chiropractic license to treat anyone for anything.
Sure, you can, with a phd, phoney or not, take orders and be a tech--like a phlebotomist. Yes you can, and that's needed work. Or you can be an orderly with your 'phd in neurophiz'. Good work as well.
Folks, wisdom is a fraud, pure and simple. He has NO real degrees, and NO real license to treat anyone for anything without taking orders. Oh, but bring 'dr callahan' in again. In wisdom's words, "all asss kissing will be accepted, even if I had to do it myself.'

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Gemini

You're in a warm-hearted and generous mood today, especially when dealing with loved ones and members of the family. You want to give them as much of your time as possible, and also to do anything else that will keep them happy. The only snag will come if you're trying to spread yourself too thin and you end up making promises that will be difficult, if not impossible, to keep. You may forget all about them but other people won't.
