Worldwide Popularity Grows for Homeopathy Alternative Medicine

Full story: Ukiah Blog Live

Numerous surveys over the past 150 plus years have confirmed that people who seek homeopathic treatment tend to be considerably more educated than those who don't . What is not as well known is the fact that homeopathic medicine is the leading "alternative" treatment used by physicians in Europeand growing numbers of the citizenry.

It's no surprise to me that homeopathy is growing in popularity around the world. I've used it exclusively for a dozen years. During those years I've been successfully treated for two head injuries which left me disabled.(Conventional medicine had nothing helpful to offer me, only drugs with serious side effects that provided no real healing.) Today I have a full, rich and satisfying life including my work as a potter and the full care of an elderly parent. I've also had great success with homeopathic treatment of neuropathy, warts, sore throats, bronchitis, poison ivy, injuries and the pain and swelling of dental work.

It's great for the animals too. A few drops of the appropriate remedy and itchy flea bites, infected feet and boils are gone in no time. Another bonus is fewer costly trips to the vet.

Over the past ten years what tens of millions of homeopaths and patients around the world have always known is being proven in studies and trials. Homeopathy works--no side effects and no iatrogenic diseases. Homeopathy is famous for its history of curing chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes. Now it's being proven to treat and cure diseases like cancer and renal failure.

The Banerji Protocol regressed a brain tumor 100%, no surgery and at minimal expense.

I have been reading through the Banerji Clinics evidence which are all testimonials.

The plural of anecdote is anecdotes, not data.

There is nothing in these testimonials to suggest the clinic has cured anyone. There seems to be a lot of post-hoc reasoning where people think the homeopathy has helped them yet in most cases all I can see is the normal progression of disease.

It should also be noted that dead people cannot provide testimonials on how homeopathy failed them so Dr Banerji's "evidence" is somewhat skewed.

Quoting their website: "Treatment provided is 100% homeopathic for all kinds of diseases because the patients come to us with that objective - most of whom have already availed of the best treatment available for their condition in the world and are convinced that our option is better than that."

This statement is typical of alt med. They were previously on real medicine then turned to homeopathy. They then erroneously attribute any improvement to homeopathy. Association does not mean causation. Cancer treatments take time to work on tumors which is why chemo takes place over several months.

Under the section "Aspects of our Research" they don't mention any. They do not quote where their research has been published or even the titles of the papers produced. There is no mention of controlled trials but they state:

"Disease specific Homoeoapthic treatment procedures that have been verified to work thousands of times. This transforms Hoemoeopathy from an art to a Science. Thereby making widespread deployment possible worldwide"

Where is this verification? If true it should be published on their website.

They are looking like your typical quack purveyor making outrageous claims with no proof.

Its a pity people who are into alt med seemingly have no idea what constitutes evidence because if they did they wouldn't waste our time with rubbish like the Banerji Clinic.

Because we need more doctors. They still have to pass assessment to practice here and a homeopathic doctor would be rejected:

I agree that our Malaysisn surgeons should be mandatorily tested for Hep B which is not the case now with a high infection rate. This is one reason why I am enthusiastic about Homeopathy, what is your grouse
What the fudge does homeopathy have to do with Hep B other than being totally ineffective against it?

Please dont continue your discussion with Mark. The problem of the Hepatitis B and C surgeons and doctors including Cardiologists and Nephrologists being allowed to work is an internal one. Be patriotic. Your Malaysian governtment has spent billions attracting the Health Tourism program and sunk billions into building Hospitals which are like 5 star hotels to attract them. They are foreigners and not our people. We need the money for our economy and you are ungrateful for the governtment scholarship. This is supposed to be secret.Mark may be a journalist.

How can you believe that a substance diluted out of existence can still have an effect on a human??? I know in some cultures homeopathy and herbal medicine are seen as the same thing but they aren't, even CRedd-ulous acknowledges this.

Awww, poor ol' homeopathy is getting torn a new @rsehole, again:

http://www.nightingale-collaboration.org/

Today, the 1st March, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) changed its rules so that members of the public can make complaints about misleading marketing communications on websites.

Until now, the misleading, outrageous and sometimes dangerous claims made on many healthcare websites have been off-limits, but now you can do something about them by submitting your own complaint.

Malaysia is like a Jones party with countless patients contracting premature cancer due to intraoperative infection with hep C and hep B. It also afffects their spouse. The surgeons who are hep B or C can legally operate. The recent scandal in Columbia Asia hospital shocked the nation. A patient was killed by Tracium. when this doctor was asked why he did it, he said he was possesed by a demon. He is clearly insane. The police were baffled and his mistake was buried. Ironically, he is still operating with business as usual in Columbia Asia Hospital. Lim Kit Siang is correct about the Africanisation of our medical system. In such a system, isnt homeopathy safer.
How can homeopathy be safer when it does nothing? It does not treat any illness so allows people to possibly die? One crazy doctor does not mean that homeopathy works.

The fact is that women are second class citizens in most Islamic countries. Getting women decent medical care in many Middle-Eastern countries is virtually impossible.

Before you say I am picking on Islam - no I detest all religions that rule countries by dogma, placing their books of myths and legends before basic human rights. It is a fact that the more secular a coutry is the better off their citizens are.

Homeopathy is a big fraud and the NHS should NOT give them a penny. It is OK for rich idiots like Prince Charles, but I noticed Camilla goes straight to a real hospital when SHE is ill. Even Charlie doesn't use this quack remedy for anything serious. It has no more value than African witch doctor "treatments".

The English Royal Family has been under homeopathic care since 1830 and there has always been a Royal Homeopathic Doctor. The post is currently held by Dr. Peter Fisher. The Queen carries her 'black box' of homeopathic remedies with her on all her travels.

Yes, Dr Nancy Malik is right. Homeopathy has royal patronage and since you are a monarchist country you should listen to Prince Charles who advocates alternative medicice especially Homeopathy. It is so stupid and yet be in Asia but carry a small union jack and have the Queen of England on the stamp. You Australians are idiots. Your medical degree is not even recognised in England, so go to England and be a dustman.

Well done, just when I thought it was impossible to have a lower opinion of homeopaths along you come with your insults and lies about an idiotic nonsense.

Homeopathy it utterly unscientific sympathetic magic and "dr" Nancy Malik is the laughing stock of the science blogasphere.

The UK royal family are uneducated inbred imbeciles prepared to get into bed with vile dictators and bilionaire paedophiles so perhaps you should look else where for your heroes.

Insults are the only comeback you have because you have no real science to back up your claims. Your insults are pathetic, truely f*cking pathetic!

The average life expectancy for British adults in the 19th century (1800's) was 43.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Sagittarius

You're feeling ultra optimistic today, which is great for summoning up the necessary energy to do what has to be done. But don't let it go to your head and convince you that you're capable of performing miracles. If you aren't behaving in this way you'll have to cope with someone who has a swollen head and thinks they're the cat's whiskers.
