It must be hard for him knowing he has heart issues and being sent home. He needs all the support he can get

He's the kind of guy that, "it's not that big a deal". BTW while we're discussing my baby brother, I have to say this.

I am overwhelmed with the response I've gotten since I first mentioned his health problem yesterday. I sent out e-mails to friends and posted a bit on Facebook. But what has really blown me away is the support I've gotten from so many people on Topix.

Strangers, familiar folks and even people who DESPISE me have all sent me messages telling me they are praying for him and his wife, and asking me to PLEASE thank them both for his 32 years of military service. I'm not to proud to admit I cried a number of times today.

About 3 PM I sent him and his wife an e-mail detailing the outpouring of prayers, thoughts, best wishes and thank yous I got here from Topix. All you people mazes me. We can be so mean and spiteful on here yet something like this and labels disappear. It's just Americans reaching out to help another and to say thanks to a stranger for his service.

OK enough Rodney King.
