This page pf posts is a god send for me. I've had three bumps on the tip of nose for the past five years. They first sprouted when I was thirteen, and I figured that I was having a bad acne break out. After a year or so they were still there and I went to my dermatologist, and she thought that it was stubborn acne and prescribed me both oral and topical antibiotics. Eventually they became flesh colored, but the bumps were still there! Low and behold, here I am, at the age of 18, still trying to find out how to combat these gross bumps. However, I've been getting really annoyed with their presence and I've picked at them a lot lately and now they're red again. Not to mention all the products I've been using on my skin are very abrasive and causing more irritation. I thought I was the only one with these mystery bumps, but after reading all the descriptions of other people's afflictions, I think I have it figured out. Although it's a major relief to have an idea of what's going on, paying for treatment seems like a bit of a challenge, but we'll see. Well I'm going to look into this possible solution further, and I wish you all good luck!
figured out what??????

I have Tuberous Sclerosis, which is a genetic disorder, and those who have the disorder have a high risk of developing angiofibromas. They do not harm you, just look weird. I've have them lasered off twice now. I'm 22 and I still have a few on my nose. Nobody notices them except for me, which I doubt sometimes- but it's true. They are annoying, but if they keep coming back, I would look into if you have the disorder. It's fairly uncommon, but common enough.

1) Are we all talking about the same thing here? Some have red bumps, others have skin colored bumps?

2) I actually had a skin colored bump for like 15 years on my nose, and then like two more grew around three years ago (smaller in size). I went to the dermatologist and they said it was harmless. The bumps didn't hurt at all. The dermatologist said to just leave it alone but if i was self-consious about it, to get it removed by CO2 laser. So I did a couple weeks ago.. very painful numbing process. He zapped it off for $450. I'm now applying Mupirocin(sp?) and I hope it doesn't grow back (reading from the other posts).

3) You guys should try the CO2 laser method, the bumps are gone and it looks/feels smooth

4) Any ways to PREVENT this?:/

Hi
i've had a bump on my nose, a little less than a centimeter in diameter, and i'm really desperate to get rid of it. It's a little redder than my skin tone and it's pretty hard. It's on the right tip of my nose, it's not TOO noticeble but i still would like it gone.
If i pick it off, it's bleeds FOREVER. and i end up putting a glob of vasaline on it to help clot.
After about 30 minutes of bleeding it scabs over and turns into a small bump again.
if anyone is experiencing the same symptoms please say so, or if anyone knows how to get rid of it, please tell me!
i'm trying the vinegar thing but i honestly don't know if it's going to work...

hey, i posted on 348, with the acv as i had sucessfully removed a mole that was on my face. I tried on this 'bump'...which i now believe to be a skin coloured mole ( I dont know though)...and it worked. Its the same with mole removal though. You need to keep on applying it on the scab, and DONT pick the scab at all. All in all you are looking about 1 week. Just apply acv with a cotton bud (after scratching the surface of by bump with a needle), as often as possible. It will be red for a few days after the scab, and ive been applying tea tree oil since.

This was a month ago and things are going good, its much better than before, and my previous mole is 100% gone. Just leave the scab alone or it will come back

Good luck guys

p.s ask if you have any questions

here is a good site with infor on tea tree oil mole removal..which i did to 100% success.

I have two, one small one on the left side and a larger on the right side of my nose. Now i was thinking, these do look like stud piercing marks so does anybody know if you can just pierce the bump? it would perminentley "remove" the feeling of having a skin small skin issue and if somebody ask about it u can just be lik, oh well i got it pierced. So help?? also piercings are way cheaper than some lame c02 laser lol you would imagine the dermatioligist would take careof these bumps but heck no we hafta go pay 200bucks at a plastic surgen(just makes me feel like im a mutant, its a smallll problem so why the frick is it treated like we are growing a fetus)

You've had enough time to yourself lately. This is a day to focus on family, with all the good and bad that that brings. Crabs would much rather be at the top of the tree than down near the roots, but that's life. You might be smart when it comes to matters of the heart, but you don't know it all quite yet.
