I have a special prescribed cream I apply every night for the past 4 weeks but not getting any better. I dont know what to do anymore. The only thing that feels good is soaking in the tub. For my case its not flaky skin or itchy just really painful and very red around the anus. Does anyone have any recommendations? Sounds like Winter Itch! Brought on by changes in enviroment warm/hot/cold/warm/hot/cold.Pl us you could be agravating it with too harsh soaps, bathing products. Look for products fragrance free,SLS free to start with- should help. Recommend have a look at the cleansing products from SKINSALVEATION,( no its not a typo, that's the spelling) just google it. Best of luck

PS There stuff works for me!

I have had a rash like thing on the area under my genitals going up to my anal passage for around 6-8 years (I am 18 years old now). I have learned to deal with it for a long time. This is what it looks likes and what it does. It seems as though it is extremely dry because it looks like when you get a sun burn and it peels. When I scratch it white flakes fall. It sometimes gets extremely dry (the area stiffens up) and it burns. I try not to scratch it. The pain gets so unbearable that I scratch it. When I do scratch it, the rash type thing sometimes bleeds. I went to the doctors once for it. They said it was some kind of strep rash (from what I can recall. It was 4 or so years ago when I went to the doctors for it.). I am really tired of having to deal with it. What is it and how can I treat it? Thank you so much for your time.
I once had the same problem for about 2 1/2 yrs. I was going crazy just like you but finally got rid of it for good. You might be allergic to certain foods. Try to go on a strict diet for about two weeks. Eat tons of vegetables fruits and grilled chicken/fish. Stay away from processed and fatty foods. Also use vaseline and Pure Emu Oil several times a day. One brand that I use is called Australian Gold 100% Pure Emu Oil. It does wonders. Trust me within 3 weeks it will subside. Just watch what you eat. This country (USA) has the worst diet in the world. Our foods are loaded with GMO's, MSG, Gluten sugar which is poison for our bodies. Ever since I changed my diet to a more healthier one I haven't had this issue. Not to mention I lost weight and formed a six pack. Good Luck

I have had the same problem as most of you on here. Symtoms include red rash close to my anal area, itching, bleeding, little cuts in the skin etc... I have had it for at least 6 months now. Most of the time it doesn't bother me too much. It doesn't bother me sitting, walking, sleeping, or even running. When I say it doesn't bother me I mean it's not painful but I know that it's there. Some days the itching sensation is worse than others but overall not really bad. However what does concern me is the occasional bleeding. It usually is very light bleeding though. Tried plenty of creams and epsom salt baths but the rash is still there. I'm going to try the baking soda idea and see what comes of it. I know it's not any STD's because I was tested a just last year. Don't think it's hemmrroids either because I think I would be in a lot more pain while walking, sitting, running, etc... So I'm thinking PH levels or diet may be it. I do drink plenty of water and I'm in the gym 4-5 days a week. I'm 33 in the best shape of life and I'm still playing my favorite sport rugby. I'll post in a few weeks and let everyone know if the baking soda solution is working.

i have this problem, not as bad as some of you.
i know for sure that the cause on my 'crack problem' is from my puffer, for my lungs, the puffer is a steroid to aid with the healing of my lungs after pneumonia. a rather common medicine
**** when i was prescribed this medication (puffer)the doctor told me that everytime i use the puffer i have to gargle with water to clean my throat, i guess the small blood tissue in the mouth absorb the lung medication.
*** the doc told me that if i do not rinse my mouth after using the puffer that i will get yeast infection. i rinsed a lot, the odd time i didnt. i cant get rid of it as soon as i work up a sweat my azz starts to smell. im going to the docs and hell no im not droppin my pants, get a finger up the azz when im not looking... jeez

Just had diagnosed, in a child the redness and pain was swabbed and tested positive for strep. It can obviously be spread through touch but only when the hands are not properly washed.

Let me ask you if you feel spaced out. Are you having mental clarity issues as well?

Let me tell you that this is probably Candida. Since some people have used ointment and had it go away, but then to return.

The candida is not actually being killed inside the intestine.
Use a Candida supplement, but make sure the one you use has CANDIDA in it. Because these are the only ones with active enzymes that eat candida.

Also, for 1 month. Cut all dairy and sugar. If you crave for sugar and can't help it then try a little honey, but keep it to a minimum.

Do all this for one month while taking your supplement and see if you get better.

I often have the problem Ice has but in the anal area. I use the method Zoox outlined when cleaning but still seem to get little cuts in the anal area when I pass a hard stool. I've gone to the doctor for it and they either tell me it's a yeast infection or a fungal infection and give me a cream, bt it always comes back. Could I really be getting an infection every few months and if so, how? I am confident I am practicing great hygiene and the doctors are no help. I am nervouse because my dad had this problem but died of colon cancer and I am so afraid.
KVirginia - As someone else mentioned, this very well could be an allergy - most likely gluten. I had the same symptoms - the cuts along with itching and a rash. The doctor gave me a fungal cream, which relieved the symptoms a bit, but it did not go away. I finally tried going off of gluten and the rash and cuts cleared up within a week or so! Many doctors seem to be unaware of the various symptoms gluten sensitivity can cause. My husband almost had his gall bladder out even though no stones were seen, after going through all kinds of tests, until a coworker told her story of gluten intolerance and its symptoms. He went off gluten and his stomach pain disappeared. A rough patch on my foot has cleared up after having it for many years - I never considered gluten til the cuts and pain led me to try going gluten free. It is a multi-symptom allergy, not just stomach, but rashes, headaches, joint pain, anal cuts and itching, etc. It shows up differently in different people and doctors would be wise to brush up on this! Hope this alleviates some of your fears. I would try going gluten free (get a good book on it or internet study - I read Elizabeth Hasselbeck (spelling?) book on her gluten allergy. It is very practical. Take care and I would love to hear how you are doing if you give it a try!

Pleae read my other post on Feb 24th - I believe that you are dealing with the same thing I did - I had cuts, but I also had the white dry flaky skin, and burning. Try going gluten free. I was wondering if I was the only one who had this symptom, but I am reading about several here. As I said in my last post, it is sad that doctors are so unaware that this can be a symptom of gluten allergy (or another food allergy - but I know mine was gluten). If you go gluten free you must read labels carefully. It's best to study up on it, because if you even get a little bit of gluten the symptoms can return. I got some somehow yesterday and have the rash back. It becomes a battle, but if you can stay on the winning side you will feel so much better. Also, I am short and thin but looked bloated and thick in my mid-section. Since going gluten free I have lost that bloat! Yea!

I am suggesting to anyone who has this rash, cuts, itching, etc. to try going gluten free. It's not that hard to do - fruits, veggies, meats (watch seasonings), and many gluten free products (pretzels, cookies, pasta, icecream etc.) are available. READ ALL labels - many are now posting allergy warnings and if wheat is mentioned at all, do not buy it. If it says "modified food starch" that could be wheat - do not eat it.
"Modified corn starch" is ok. If you try this and clear up within a week or two you know that you are gluten sensitive. I dealt with this condition for nine months and the doctor said it was fungus and gave me a cream which did not work. I finally went gluten free and it is gone. If I get any gluten it comes back - POW! I hope you will try this and that it helps! Let me know!

I had the same problem 30 years ago. it was diagnosed by a doctor as "anus pruri". He prescribed hydrocortisone cream and recommended to clean the area very well after bowl movement. Using dry toilet paper alone did not cure the problem, no matter how careful I was. Solution of the problem was to follow use of dry toilet paper with (1) wet toilet paper provided with mild soap or unscented shaving foam,(2) using wet toilet paper until NO brown traces were visible and (3)finishing off with dry toilet paper. It took weeks to gradually improve the rash and then eliminate it. In the 30 years that followed, the problem did not re-occur. But it got close on those occasions where soap was not available.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Libra

It's one of those difficult days when anything can and will happen. Someone you were relying on might let you down, plans could be changed at the eleventh hour or a machine could go on the blink. To make matters worse, your energy levels are very erratic, so you feel full of beans one minute and ready to go to sleep the next. Don't make the situation worse by eating foods that give you a high followed by a slump.
