Hello everyone I've been going through this for about 6 years now and when I first got it it was so itchy I thought it was ring warm I've just recently paid attention that it comes around and during my whole menistration I haven't been to the dr but when I thought it was wring warm I bought some ANTI-FUNGAL spray and it goes away after a couple of days! You all should try it. It does burn a little but it works!

i get rash few days before my period . i get rash on my thighs. it went away when i was on the pill since i got off this rash was worst then ever. i couldnt let my husband see me naked.
I get a red bumpy rash on my lower legs, mostly, but a small amount of red bumps on my back, also, a week or so before my period starts & it starts clearing up toward the end of my period. Sometimes it gets so itchy at night that I can't sleep. This has been going on for about 3 1/2 years & it drives me crazy. I've been to the dermatologist & they can't figure out what it is. I just want it to go away!!!

I started getting my rash at least three or four months ago initially, the doctor said it was allergies or some sort of viral infection. They gave me cream which made it worse. And they had me take some antibitotic that I did have a reaction to. Just this morning my boyfriend commented that it seems to be when I'm cramping... my rash does sometimes occur on my face, but it always starts at my feet... the soles of my feet and the palms of my hands. Unbearable itichiness! It seems to then go to my chest... I'm glad I'm not alone, I guess :(

I am so relieved! I have been suffering the apperance of itchy red spots/hives/rash on my cheeks and jawline ever since the birth of my youngest daughter (she is now 10. I have been to see my gp who sent me to a dermatologist. I was put on stron antibiotics for 6 months as they believed it was acne - did nothing. Was then given steroid creams - did nothing. It always starts the day of my period, and by day 2/3 of my period I dont want to leave the house as my fabe is full of red, hot, itchy bumps. I have started taking over the couter antihistamines which helps with the itchiness.

I have also experienced ear itching everytime my periods are nearing also all the pains that i have usually the neck pain or backpain is compounding at this time also sometimes i have these vision problems like focusing. once my periods are over these symptons subside. I think these are related to hormonal changes as i am 42.

So from all the women I have spoken to in my age group, 48, who are premenapausal, alot of them have expressed the same thing. The neck ichiness and eyelids come and go but are most noticable just before menstruation. This must be hormonal... At least you know you are not alone. My eye doctore gave me a very low dose cortisone for my eyelids and it has helped. I find the winter worse than summer.

I had this neck/face rash like prickly heat the last few days. I have only had it once before, maybe 8 months ago. I have sensitive olive skin, and I thought it was some kind of allergy. I can't pin it to any food or topical, but it did coincide with the start of my period. So strange.

Hello everyone! At least now i know I'm not alone with what's happening to me every month before my period comes. My faces gets red rashes around my nose down to my chin. It's horrible! It's dry, itchy and sometimes with burning sensation even! What i do is when i feel that my usual moisturizer suddenly hurts my face, i know my period is coming.I will stop my moisturizer but instead use petroleum jelly till my period comes. It somehow helps. When i have to go out in the sun i use liquid foundation with uv protection (very very light) just to have some sunblock on my face. I hope this will help.

Hi ladies! I felt a bit relieved that I'm not alone here. Since 2 months ago, I started having red, itchy rashes on my face. The 1st time I had the flare up, I thought it was allergic reaction to the facial products I've been using. The rashes went a away after I switched to no-comedogenic creams like Cetaphil and Eucerin (but my face is still very dry). Then I noticed that the rashes came back on the day I ovulated. I did some research on facial rash and the word lupus came up. Has anyone been diagonised lupus and have the same rash symptoms. I'm going to see my Dr. today and hopfully can get an accurate diagnosis.

I have had the same thing for at least the last 3 years! Just figured out it may be a hormonal thing as I noticed it will start about 7 days before my period then starts to go away after I start my period! My dr. Was surprised I thought it was cyclical!? She thinks it's a fungal infection. If this IS fungal... I can only assume my immune system drops prior to my period which may make my skin susceptible to the fungus and causes a breakout of the "rash"...then after my period starts I would think my Immune system comes back up and can fight it off. All just a theory of course. This is what it's come to as there are no clear answers to any of it! Mine is like a tight super dry area that flakes dry skin constantly and symmetrically at the inner part of my eyes right below the brow's, at the creases of my nose and down the cheek folds down to the corners of My mouth then continues down around my chin area! Sort of like a flaky skin go-tee! My dr. Has given me clotrimazole/betamet 1-0.05% cream.
I will report back if I actually get it to go away!

I have been having this same sort of rash for over a year. I'm 45 and it either appears on the left side and back of my neck or on the right side of my face. If it appears on my neck then it does not usually breakout on my face. Seems to swap back and forth. Always appears in the few days leading up to my cycle, then goes away around day 2 of my cycle.
I've been to both my family doc and OB GYN with no success. I don't think they believe me even when I have clearly documented it like clockwork. Sun seems to make it worse, Benadryl cream and Benadryl low dose children's tab keep it somewhat less noticeable. Cold packs also seem to help.
Sometimes it will itch. When on my neck it is raised, but on my face it will sometimes form spot(s) that seem to have a little fluid in them. Once it is gone it does not leave any mark.
Sure would like to have a solution.

i have the same issue and when I asked my doctor about it she had no idea what it was! My lips swell and the same two spot become itchy and in some instances they break out and take forever to heal. I have a dark spot on the top of my had that becomes itchy and on the other hand two spots between my fingers become red and very sensitive. I have found nothing to make it go away. I tried cold sore remedies for my lips and it made it worse so I just keep putting on medicated blistex, hydrocortisone cream to at least soothe the itch. It always shows up right before my period and goes away once its over and I start my birth control again. I'm glad I'm not alone and I found people who have had it before. I am so frustrated!

This is very close to what I am currently experiencing. I get red marks on my face (just below my lip, bridge of my nose and inner left eye) and various parts of my body. The spots or rash appear just before my period starts. This is my third consecutive month that they appeared. Initially my Dr. thought it was impatago (sp?) and perscribed my an antibiotic - same thing the next month. Finally this month I realized it was happening in tandum with my period and didn't bother taking the antibiotics. It's a bit itchy and I'm really not loving the red spots on my face . Is there anything to do about the reaction to progesterone? I've looked around the internet and am having a tough time finding any information.

Hey ladies! I also experience this problem! Usually on the day that my period starts I get a terribly itchy rash that appears in red splotches on my eyelids, behind and in my ears and under my chin. Look up 'autoimmune progesterone dermatitis'. I believe that's what I have (google diagnosis haha). At the moment I just use hydrocortisone cream to treat the symptoms and it does settle it down abit... Any tips on something else I can use to control this unbearable itch?:)
