Small, "tapioca like" bumps on fingers and palms

It could possibly be hand mouth and foot disease. Which is highly contageous.

If what you are talking about (sorry, your pics don't work anymore)
look like tiny (size of pinhead and less) bumps, some of which are white and filled with fluids, then I know what you are talking about.

Good news/bad news? Well, it's nothing serious, as some have mentioned, usually initially brought on by stress etc. On the downside, even specialists can not work out what it is, and as it's not a real problem, I prefer to just let them go away on their own. A a child, like most children in my family, I dealt with atopic eczema, but grew out if it by my teens. Is it realted to that (eczema)??...possibly, but if you just take care of them as they emerge, I don't find there to be much residual itching.

If it itches, pinch them with you nails or similar, like you would do with a zit, then make sure you clean your hands well afterwards.

This takes away the itching, although it will leave small red marks (as it would with a zit).

The bumps tend to appear quickly (within a day or two), and then disappear again. For me, usually for 6 months or so.

I suspect that you also periodically get 'flaky/dry' skin on your palms, usually emerging as a few spots of white/dry skin, which then tends to peel. Again, no biggie...but again, no real diagnosis for it either. It is not red/itchy, but rather appears to be a layer of skin shedding. Strange, but nothing to worry about.

I've had this a few times a year for the past 5 or so years now (I'm 31), and as it passes within a few days, and causes no discomfort or issues, I don't see a reason to get further opinions or medication for it.

Not sure what else to say.
It seems like a few other people have similar conditions, but as I said, I don't find it to be a discomfort at all if I give them a little pinch once they become noticable white. For the flack skin, i scrub my hands hard at least once a day, and moisturize. By doing this, my palms look pretty normal, even when I have an 'outbreak'.

I have heard it is not contagious, but your situation seems like it is. If you google 'Pompholyx' you will probably be able to find out more information :) That is what it is called. Hope it gets better, mine has gone now but I know how horrible it is!! Good luck.

This paste didn't help with the rash itself but it helped with the itching.

Mine is triggered by an allergic reaction to a certain ring I often wear (brought about 24months ago from Prouds). It's not supposed to have any nickel in it but it obviously does have compound or mix in the plating which flares this condition up like contact dermatitis.
What's worked for me is white vinegar, 100% tea tree oil, and nail polish remover oddly seems to dry it out and then off course avoid wearing the ring.

I have the same Crazy itch !! Blister pinned shaped and clear liquid i scratched out . it's bothersome and painful . now that i'm 44 its now on my feet . I also always been a sweety palm and feet person when im nervous .

its the dishydrotic eczema.

started as side effect of sinus%allergy to wide variety of house allergens (mold dust..)

it is irritating as .... and it has no real treatment other than things some people posted.

the more you sweat the worse it is and for people who train a lot or work hard its even worse.

my friend was writing a lot with a hb pencil and in 2 weeks the fingers that held the pen, cause of the sweat (it was summer and very hot) were covered with colorless pimples that crack and leak odorless liquid that later on get infected and..

i got those on hand which i use the mouse.

bad news for all of you guys.(and me)
they come back and there is no real cure.
some people say we need to change our diet.
im a healthy eater and i need stuff that i eat to survive so.. yeah gotta learn to live with this

I have this - it is extremely uncomfortable. I highly recommend soaking your hands and feet in a vinegar bath - hot water and 1/4 vinegar. 3-4x a day. It works!

Hi, I have the same, and a bit of tea tree oil with some moisturising lotion afterwards works. It does dry out your skin alot, but just make sure to use alot of moisturiser.

I was a bartender and got this strange rash on my hands...Little bumps that looked like tiny blisters all over my hands and sometimes on my forearms. I tried EVERYTHING, including the prescription meds and NOTHING worked. My skin (because I scratched it so much) started to crack and become very painful. I went to Walgreens and bought a few products....Only 1 worked....Burt's Bees Hand Salve! It took about 4 days of chronic application but IT WORKED! Finally some relief...Now I recommend it to everyone...FYI...It is not Eczema, Dermatitis, or any of the other conditions. It recently came back because my hands are again, in water all the time. So I've had these little bumps that come and go. Not to sure what It is. But I have ulcerative colitis which is an auto immune disease, and was told the bumps may be a side effect. I usually get them around my colitis flare ups. My mom also gets them not to often though. She too has a auto immune disease. Mine so far have stayed on my hands. Tiny bumps that r clear and if I pop them clear liquid that's a bit slimy comes out. I was prescribed a steroid cream that if applied twice daily for about 3 days the go away by drying out without the cream it takes about 2wks. My flare ups are also brought on by stress. Mine itch sometimes n can get infected if ur not careful after they pop.

Hi mine just seem to be "itches" under the skin that came and go about 3-4 times a year. Mine just started again a few days ago and started wandering what they are and decided to look on the net. Luckily I do not get the blisters or the crusting but it is interesting to know that I also have fellow sufferers all over the world.

Same bumps here. Same symptoms all around. However, I just got over a four wk sinus infection that included a cold sore. The doc immediately diagnosed herpes witlow. Put me on Valtrex. In day 3 now. No real changes, but less pain. I've had cold sores throughout my life and never these symptoms. I'm hating my life right now. Wearing gloves around everywhere cuz I have a pregnant wife and 7 yr old at home.

Yes this is definitely true... I been using the soap for years... So I don't know why it has only recently occurred (unless I just didn't notice it before)... After discontinuing the use of the soap, the bumps have peeled and gone away. Thank you for posting this because I thought I caught some type of fungus and that's not sexy.

I have had this same thing since i was in my teens and I am now 50 years old. It began on my fingers, then on my palms, then as I got older I got some on my toes. Now I'm dealing with alot of stuff that is very stressful. Iim getting them on my shin bones and the nape of my lower back. They itch like crazy. On my legs I scratch the heck out of them and leaving some not so nice looking scars. They do come out more in the warmth. But I do believe as well it is the stress in our lives as well. I don't know what to do. I end up scratching popping the ones on my hands, put hydrogin peroxid on them, and they dry up.

I've got the same thing as everyone else on here. I got it about 6 months ago (from working with concrete, or so i thought) and it has come and gone since. I have tried almost every creme known to man with little to no results. Thinking about amputation at the wrists, i'll let u all know if it works....

I started getting these after the birth of my son. I would touch something and wash my hands before touching my son. All the washing with fragrant anti-bacterial soaps dried out my hands to where they would crack and bleed. One day I noticed the itchiness and the bumps started. I would try to deal with it by using neosporin, hydrocortisone cram 1%, vasaleen, gold bond hand repair, lamacil for jock itch and pretty much any kind of moisturizer I could get my hands on. I couldn't take it anymore and nothing seemed to help so I went to the doctor and was prescribed a cream. Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide cream USP. From the first night I put it on it started drying the bumps out... Ask your doctor about it. It's helped me. I put bandaids over so it stays put and works all night. Good luck everyone.
