WOW. Go get 'em Monica. Many of us will be watching this situaion. Let us hope Mr. Bracamontes stays on top of the ´horrific´story and you get what is yours. If this is a government run health , seems to me Piggy Bank Obama is in for a lot of trouble with his programs....And, not the least, where is your insurance company in all of this? It will be interesting to see the fees charged by your 'legal guardian', Hector, and the time spend earning those 'fees'. And, what happened to her father? Was he judged not competent enough to be your guardian? More insult to injury?!!!

Can you imagine how many people go through these things?
Why does the court proceedings move so slowly? Did the attorney steal her money? I hope the El Paso does a follow up story on this case. Too mnay questions unanswered.
Good luck

I'll be very interested in seeing how this all turns out for Dr. Yepez, and wish her well.

I'm a bit curious about "Big Brother Justice's" point. Since Dr. Yepez received poor medical treatment in a private hospital with private insurance, where does "government run health" enter the conversation?

Thank you Ramon for this story. God Bless Ms. Yepez and her family. This situation sounds dispicable. What a shame. Hopefully it will get resolved.

Why don't you reply to him on this post?

I believe he is making a comparison, trying to imagine the government health care will be alot worse then private.

Thank you El Paso Times for warning El Pasoans about lawyer, Hector Phillips. Phillips had the opportunity to respond to the article, but did not.

The best to Monica Yepez.

As for Hector Phillips, hope there is a full investigation and audit of his law practice.

Give "Dr." Monica Yepez her money back you crooks! Shame on you for doing what you did. But then again, people such as you have no scruples nor a conscience do you?

Dr. Yepez, welcome back, I hope they return every penny owed you. What is the deal with this lawyer of yours, Hector Phillips? Why doesn't lawyer Phillips (at least) make a statement concerning this matter?

It all goes back to whom do you (really and sincerely) trust, right? I'm wondering by the way, did you (Dr. Yepez) sue Del Sol Medical for malpractice? I've never liked Del Sol Medical. I once had to use their ER services,(was hospitalized for 5 days), only to be released still very ill. I wound up checking in to Thomason Hospital. A very nice hospital I might add. I'd recommend Thomason over Del Sol any day..

Sounds like she has been ripped off! She needs to talk to Stephanie Townsend Allala/Terry W. Hammond. http://www.hammondlaw.net/theteam.sstg

I hope THIS case will inspire the FBI to investigate Judge Gamboa's cases.
What happens in the Probate Court in El Paso is deplorable.

Come on, any competent lawyer will not respond in public about a contractual matter with the court or client. The ones that respond are idiots. The probate court has rules to follow and a full accounting is provided each and every case.

Hector Phillips was Mr. Alexander Catucci's mayorial debacle's campaign manager. Two peas in a pod? I would definitely question the character of Mr. Phillips if he is keeping company with the above mentioned person

People....this is what Lawyers do. They are not human. The pass the bar exam with the Devil opening the gates of hell for them. And to think, they walk around in those expensive suits that are paid from moneys taken under a legal system that has ripped off Monica Yepez. I am glad they printed Hector Phillips name. He is not an honest man, neither is the devil and his crew of American/El Paso lawyers.

Unfortunately there are vultures at every turn no matter if it is the Attorney, Judge, Doctor, and sometimes even the family. A lesson learned i'm sure. Be careful out there. If so many people are so concerned about government health care then I would suggest you watch the movie "SICKO" and look at things from both sides. I'm sure some eyes will be open or at least some thoughts will be provoked.
God Bless the USA!!!

Note to self: avoid Hector Phillips if I ever need the services of a probate attorney. Thank you Ramon Bracamontes for telling Dr. Yepez' tragic story. I would like to see a follow up report that she has gotten all her money back from the corrupt system that took advantage of her during her time of vulnerability. Shame on those who prey upon the elderly and disabled.

WELCOME TO EL PASO.....Judge Gamboa will now respond that he is unbale to communicate with her/ since he is the Judge. Hector Philips will ask the Court to remove him since The Dentist doesnt trust him anymore. and the accounting will be a bull shit accounting and everyone goes home FREE. Thats the problem between Judges/ Lawyers and the Legal Community/ They cover each others ass very well. Dear Dr. Yepez/ Call the State Bar/ DONT GIVE UP EVER UNTIL YOU GET YOUR ANSWERS AND YOU FEEL SATISFIED WITH YOURSELF. IT WAS YOURS TO START AND YOU NEED ANSWERS!!!

First and foremost, my prayers go out to Dr. Yepez and I hope she receives everything that is hers.
Bernie, there are good and bad attorneys. Don't lump all attorneys together.

No mention on where APS is involved, I thought they were charged to protect vulnerable adults?

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Virgo

Be careful you don't wind up doing someone else's work today, Virgo. There are all sorts of little tricks to persuade you to take pity on them, from pretending to be ill to making such a hash of everything that you can't bear to watch for a moment longer. Then you are likely to be asked to put in some overtime, at the expense of your social life. Grr.
