We are a diagnostic company that brings the following testing to your office: Nerve Conduction Velocity, evoked potentials, spinal ultrasounds. You set the testing day, and we send out a certified technologist to your office with equipment to test your patients. We verify all patients with their insurance companies after receiving a medical letter of necessity from you. for more information please email us at info@lakesidediagnostics.com

Yeah it's called kickbacks! Stear clear of any company like this. You will end up paying the price in the long run. Refer out to a MD neurologist for these tests.

Unfortunately they were burning Chiropractors in Ohio for this exact thing. Typically the patient ends up getting burnt as well by the practitioners billing department after the promise made by this type of company. Everyone loses.(Except the insurance companies and the rental service.)

Young doctors stay clear of this. I personally know of those Docs who got burnt and then the wedge driven between doctor and patient.

I agree with doc4bax; stand clear, there are safer ways to make an income.

Sorry lakeside, I don't mean to be rude. We must protect our own sometime...

I can't speak for Lakeside Diagnostics but NCV testing is a needed and many times vital diagnostic procedure that most physicians (whether MD, DO or DC) do not have the skill to analyse much less perform. A third party organization can be an invaluable resourse for those physicians much like outsourcing imaging or lab procedures.
Of course, many MDs like to complain that this impinges on their scope of practice but that really just comes back to who's making the money...

Dr. E is correct about NCV testing especially in diagnosing entrapment syndromes in peripheral neuropathies. As far as the other MD saying to steer clear of companies like these, he may have a point unless the company in question has a Medicare license in the state where testing in preformed and does the billing and collecting themselves. MD's are compensated for "Direct Supervision" much like an Echo-Cardiogram" test/model. No kickbacks, makes sure the company has an "Letter of Medical Opinion" from a Certified Healthcare Attorney", if they do then you're ok.

As chiropractors are experiencing sharp declines in income. Many resort to these kick-back scams.

Stay clear. The feds are watching.

It is not a problem if the doctor is only allowing the use of the facility and nothing more. A patient is referred to a doctor who does NCV/EMG testing and for the patients convenience, the doctor does the test in your office.

There is no kick back here. I have found a psychologist who will come to my clinic to see my patients who I have referred for psych evaluation. It is no different. I bill for nothing, I simply allow the doctor to use an empty office or treatment room.

The feds can watch all they want, there is no kick back or wrong doing.

Ha Ha.

The only reason chiropractors would allow these itinerant "diagnostic" comnpanies to be in their offices is to get money from them. Otherwise they, like all decent health care professionals, they would refer their patients to legitimate and independent neuologists.

99% of these quackers are scamming. Typical.

If it is a spinal condition, the neurologist won't even see the patient unless they are allowed to do the nerve testing. And it is interesting that every single one they see had an NCV/EMG recommended by the neurologist.

Best to get the nerve testing done if medically necessary and then refer to an ortho.

Wisdom, I notice every article involving chiropractors you respond about them being quacks. You certainly have a lot of time to disseminate mis-information. Who do you work for?

Better yet, other quackers here claim they can cure pancreatic dysfunction by clicking the spine with a dental instrument. Denounce their quackery.

I'm waiting.

I have never heard a chiropractor say he can CURE pancreatic dysfunction. I have seen countless individuals present with a variety of conditions such as Lower Back Pain, Migraine Head Aches, Neck Pain, Sciatica, TMJ disorders, Arm Pain, etc. These are just a few of the conditions that the majority of the chiropractic profession successfully treats on a daily basis.

I find it hard to believe anyone would spend so much time and energy disseminating mis-information for personal reasons?

Who funds your slanderous attacks on the chiropractic profession.

Slanderous? Ha Ha

Licensed chiropractors that post on Topix (nwtk, bdc and nucca) either by purporting it or by implying it, have claimed that chiropractors can cure pancreatic dysfunction, bedwetting, allergies, spinal stenosis, high blood pressure etc etc.

You don't realize that I'm more knowledgeable about chiropractic than most chiroquackers. I'm well aware of all the stupid and idiotic claims made by your fellow quackers.

Deal with it Get rid of the quacks who use network, hio, activator, AK and all the other hocus pocus treatments rendered by quackers all across the country.

The majority of chiropractors use activator methods to treat patients which is outright quackery.

Deal with it, you've been exposed as having a full chiropractic diaper. Unable to rppoiduce any valid evidence for "activator".

Chirotalk.proboards.3 is the most honest and revealing look into chiropractic. From their pathetic clinical training to their bizarre treatment methods. You won't believe it.

"backoff" you are welcome to post there and tell them how you define and practice chiropractic. Its a skeptical chiropractic site. Maybe you're just like the rest of your quack colleagues...no courage to question anything. We'll see.

So you say nurses aren't very intelligent?

Aren't you a nurse now or something like one?

Even less, aren't you now a technician? Your equipment is like the NCV/EMG device isn't it?

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Aries

It won't be long before you start to feel bored today, unless you can distract yourself - you're switching from one activity to another. Ideally, you should keep yourself amused by doing something that's unusual or challenging, otherwise you'll be tempted to stir up trouble just to see what happens next! Even though you know that's a bad idea, you won't be able to resist, unless you've got something better to do with your time.
