Calm down, people. Let's remember that it was NOT the fault of the anesthesiologist!! The poor girl had a terrible allergic-type of reaction. Let's not tear this man down for something completely out of his control!!

Can`t always blame the parents. It is what the kids want today. They do not realize the dangers of cosmetic surgery.

It's nice to hear people understand the difference between a bad result and negligence. We all only know half the story anyway. Privacy laws have been violated by everyone in this case, with the exception of the family attorney, assuming he had consent (doesn't every family have an attorney?). No one can give medical info without the patient's consent.

As for what happened, there is little to wonder about. The case is simple. When did she start having symptoms that a physician practicing within community standards (that is national standards today)would recognize as MH and did he begin treatment in a time frame consistent with those standards. Are the readers all aware that Dantrolene is very difficult to mix and needs an expertienced team to do so? Perhaps the real question is to place surgery back in the hospital.

Hospitals are crying for cash since the cream has been skimmed by Outpatient Centers, leaving only the very sick, with little resources to take care of them. Ever see a local hospital. They were transformed from busy givers of good care to abandoned wrecks, barely making it. Shut down the centers, make the hosptals more efficient and then the care improves.

Excuse me but when a "young lady" is in a foreign country and decides to go off with "boys (strangers)" that she meet 2 days earlier and her friends told her NOT TOO..well..I think that says it all...about Miss Holloway..sad it happend to her but it is a lesson for all those girls who live in the good ole USA..don't go off with strangers..I think that is told to you at about age 3...

She was 18 in a bar drinking and drunk. Bimbo or not she is far less important than 1000's of kids with nothing to eat and no clean water to drink. What ever happened to her, she was highly culpable or negligent, as were her friends and chaperones or the lack there of. We have 100’s of more serious stories to report.
