NCMD... Appreciate the thoughts... Mutual respect in a profession like anesthesia is the way it should be.

This is about the dumbest thing I ever heard of. Take what is usually the most dangerous part of an operation and had it over to a nurse! I am not putting nurses down but when I go under I want a doctor, a specialist doctor to be the one keeping be out without killing me.
What are they going to do next have Jim the painter draw my blood because some places may not have phlebotomist or nurses?
You sound as though you have no concept of CRNA scope of practice...you are entitled to your opinion, but stop to think what would happen if nurse anesthetist were not involved in anesthesia... That would not work in this country.

It isn't my expertise but I do have an idea of the scope of their practice. I just don't think this new policy is a good idea.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Gemini

You're in a warm-hearted and generous mood today, especially when dealing with loved ones and members of the family. You want to give them as much of your time as possible, and also to do anything else that will keep them happy. The only snag will come if you're trying to spread yourself too thin and you end up making promises that will be difficult, if not impossible, to keep. You may forget all about them but other people won't.
