Wonder if the new health care reform plan will cover medical stoners, and pay for their dope. What about snacks?

Put the freelancers out of business. the med grade pot is grown in controlled envirnoment and you know what your getting. The tax benefits the state, not the drug dealer killing wyou kids.

I agree, it's a great concept, but that's how alcohol control got started, and look at how that's worked. Just a money grab by the folks governing us.

Peter B Lewis, who gave millions of dollars to Obama (backdoor of course), must be pleased.

I'm cancelling my Progressive Insurance Policy - Lewis is a joke ... Congratulations Petey Baby - one step closer to your low-life ambition of legalizing marijuana. You are truly a rich fool.

Marijuana is much safer and less detrimental to a persons body than alcohol. Do you realize that 1 in 10 citizens of the United States smokes pot on a daily basis. i see know porblem iwth getting stoned onle in a while. the same with a drink. Moderation. If pot were legalized, the country wouldn't become addicted. It has been legalizes in Denver and Seattle and users haven't increased. Besides if it is legalized, it will be taxed.

Yeah, real Americans damage their livers to possibly lethal levels with oxycontin! Only wussies will use cannabis, because they're too cowardly to play Russian Roulette with the drugs advertised on TV. "Side effects may include..." You are justified in your tunnel-vision outrage!

I'm sure you are raising your children with the concept of being OK to be stoned once in awhile. Personally, you and yours can be stoned all the time, it's OK with me. Hope your kids don't inherit your logic though. Alcohol was legalized, and nobody got addicted right? And taxes fix everything, pity we can't tax stupidity.

Dumbass, I retired at forty, have two homes and my children are in excellent hands. You didn't understand my post. BTW dumbass, alcohol is a physical ADDICTION whereas pot isn't. I'm not going to get into the specifics as they are out of your realm of comprehension. Don't judge me, jude yourself. No one should abuse either. Get off your high horse and DO something with your life. My family will be just fine.

Sober over 20 years, and working with alcoholics and addicts every day, my comprehension might surprise you. I have judged myself as well. You are almost correct in that alcohol is an addiction, but a mental obsession as well. Pot carries the mental part, and almost always leads to harder drugs,(chasing more and higher)
Going back to my wonderful life now, wish your family the best, have a great day!

Thanks pist, I appreciate your input. I quit drinking as I turned 50 and my kids are just 9 and 11 years of age. Gotta look out for them as well as myself. You have an excellent day yourself.

Actually, putting substances on the black market creates the social prerequisites for moving onto harder drugs. Because if we were just going by drug chemistry, then coffee would be a much easier starting point to "chase" cocaine than cannabis would.

Right...And with the legalization of marijuana, the dealers would be shit outta luck for clients...There would be a drop in drug violence, since it wouldn't hold the value it once did...

It amazes me that some folks are still using the sad, pathetic arguments that have kept pot criminalized for so long...
History tells us that those who are screaming loudly about this little weed are often the ones who are knee deep in the mix...The Clinton's are a prime example...Claiming to be upstanding Americans, holding Public Offices, all the while they were directly involved in smuggling operations that took place at small, rural air strips at their behest...(see "The Clinton Chronicles")
Next, it doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to see through the rhetoric going on in Colorado...Denver has a Mayor who is involved with liquor establishments...How many does Hickenlooper own?...Point being, these same anti-pot leaders are making money hand-over-fist on alcohol, even though it has proven to be a very deadly vice...Liver disease, DUI's, violence, and it's readily available on nearly every corner in Colorado...How do you think they feel about the competition that legalized marijuana brings?...
And, I won't even get started on how the major pharmaceutical whores are pimping their goods to these same leaders by lining their pockets...My own Dr will dole out Vicodin (highly addictive opiate) all day long, because he gets kickbacks for creating addicts...It only takes one commercial about the latest "wonder-drug" to see what's really going on - human experimentation...Plus, it is a well known FACT that most addicts now days are prescription med users, and not the stoner playing video games all day...They're the Moms who need an "extra boost" during the day who resort to "Diet Pills", the guys who are building homes who rely on pain pills to get through their day, the Secretary at your kids school who Dr shops using aliases to feed their addiction secretly...
It's high time (pun intended) the establishment was shaken up a bit...9 News has an article on their site today where some idiot is worried that the Mexican Cartels will rapidly move into Colorado to set up growth operations and control the market because of the dispensaries, to which I call bullshit...If pot is legalized, there would be no need for the low quality, black market grade weed coming from south of the border...There wouldn't be any thug punks slinging dime bags at the local 7-11...The street value of pot would decrease to the point that the entire market would collapse in favor of buying high grade, properly cultivated pot legally...
The ONLY reason pot hasn't been legalized yet is solely because our elected officials haven't carved their niche in the money involved...

Don't care what state or country you bought the weed in, don't care if it is legal weed or not, don't care if you smoke because of a terminal illness. I just don't want you driving on the freeway next to me, HIGH!
