With the short sales, foreclosures and "investment" realtor swaps going on in York City the average sales price barely breaks 10,000$.

I guess that the unsavory people that buy the houses for a low rate, are so desperate to rent them out before they can flip them, that they rent to people with criminal records! How are these "house buyers" making money in this economy? Does anyone know of a free data base where I can check all of the neighbors criminal histories. So far two out of two have criminal records that are renters from , guess who. Thank god it's public record. Atleast we can all find out about it!

We live across the street from one of his rentals. The young father who rents the house loves to stand outside and stare at all of the women who walk by on the street. He does it for hours. I can't imagine why, because he has a pretty, young wife. They must not have a very good relationship! I hear them fighting all of the time!

Mr. Johnson is unusual. He had too many bankruptcies to own a house, so now he just pretends to own the one that he is renting. He stares down all of the elderly, women neighbors to intimidate them in case they are plotting to walk in his yard. Can you say elder abuse! He constantly sits outside guarding his house. He even posted web cams, or critter cams in the yard to survey the neighbors. Is this legal? Is he paranoid schizophrenic?

I believe the general rule of thumb is, as long as the cameras are pointing to "public areas", or areas where anyone could see the same thing from sidewalks, etc, then they are most likely legal. Audio recording from the same cameras is illegal as it goes against wiretapping laws. Some exceptions to camera placement would be cameras that view the owner's private property, back yard, etc. portions of the neighbor's yard might also be allowed on camera as long as it falls within the normal field of view of the camera. In other words, you cannot have a camera directed exclusively toward a neighbor's yard or pointing down on it over a fence. Tall fences provide a "reasonable expectation of privacy" which excludes video recording. I doubt two foot fences or small hedgerows provide such privacy. Either way, it's up to the camera owner to defend the use of the camera.

I think that K. Sprenkle is really trying to bully us into getting the yard surveyed. The boundaries seemed to have blurred over the fifty plus years that it has been in the family. He didn't notify the township that he was renting his house out, and intended to flip it. I did, snd they said that they would charge him some type of fee that goes along with renting a house out . I doubt that they ever did! He didn't need to be so rude and dismissive to us about what he thinks our yard should look like. We've been here throughout the race riots of the sixties, we've had racist literature distributed on our lawn over the years. We're non-Christain. We've been here for the pig-head that had been dangled in the synagogue doorway. I'm sure that Mr. Sprenkle remembers those days when the township police took the "good ole boy" stance to such harassment. The yard (his yard) has actually started to resemble a junkyard. The woman doesn't work, and climbs through the brush on the border all day, I guess taking pictures. The man isn't even listed on the lease. They've had out of state tags for nearly a year now. So I wonder who will want to buy an old house when they realize that they will have to pay 1500+ for a survey if they want accurate boundaries of the yard? I actually had a surveyer come to do a preliminary look on Sat. He thought that the old fence posts were inaccurate. He couldn't find any rebar markers.
So, thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!

Our lawyer said that once it is surveyed we can sue for the destruction that had been done to our yard. So, it all should be over very soon! Hope that they have a good lawyer.

Does the landlord know that they bought a new puppy? They can barely keep track of their kids! They leave them with the "drunk" lady who always walks down the street holding a beer, with kids in tow.

Apparantly this guy (K. Sprenkle) admitted that he had been stalking the neighborhood when he happened to notice a pile of wood next to our house. He immediately banged on the door, and began threatening my elderly mother about building a fence that better not encroach even two feet into his yard! It just happened to be her birthday and I was out buying her a present! She had no idea what he was ranting about and told him to talk to me.
I am convinced that he is a psycho! I have tried to find him since, but he is avoiding me like the plague. Doesn't he have anything better to do than to stalk women who live alone about stealing a tiny fraction of his land? This is getting ridiculous. One of the normal neighbors even thought they saw him prowling the backyard at night, driving in stakes. Or hammering something!
His tennants, the Johnson's, are just as wacky. The guy uses aliases and isn't even on the lease.
I think that K. Sprenkle needs to find some more productive things to do with himself. The Johnsons need marriage counseling, so they can focus on each other instead of getting off on spying on the neighbors!

Caleb and Alecia Johnson win the award for the most bizarre and disturbing twenty-something marriage, and living situation. Caleb Johnson, stands in the neighbors yard at night and stares, seemingly fixated, on the 40+ aged woman's bedroom window next door. She screams that she will call the police, but this doesn't seem to deter him. If she looks, he waves and makes gestures. He was even enthralled enough to erect a tent near their fence, and sleep in it all night alone.
Alecia seems to condone this behavior, and perhaps even enjoy it! What type of bedroom conversations do they have at night? Hi, honey, how does the middle aged neighbor lady look tonight? What is she wearing? That is, I guess the rare times when Caleb sleeps in her bedroom. He even instructs the kids to peer into the neighbor's yard to see if she is home or not.
The middle aged neighbor hasn't had a twenty something man so interested in her in twenty years. She is beginning to think that he is bipolar, schizophrenic, or suffers from some other mental illness. Alecia, the marriage won't last until you get him help. It seems as if things are already unraveling. STOP enabling him!
Can the police do anything? It seems as if they wait too long in these scenarios. Alecia should be protecting her kids, instead of just going along with all of this bizarre behavior!

Alecia honey, why does your man spend every spare moment in the back yard without you out there? Why aren't you two taking the kids to the park, movies, bowling or to the mall, like other young couples do? Why don't you follow him around outside one evening, and stay out with him the WHOLE time. Are you afraid that he will get angry or agitated if you shadow him? Try it, and see what happens.
He seemed to be in "hog" heaven when you took the kids and left for over a week, awhile back. He just sat out there every night. He only had one visitor come by. The chubby blonde woman came and sat a spell for a few nights too.
Doesn't he ever watch TV, use the computer or watch a movie? Don't you find his voyeuristic behavior offensive? See what happens if you casually ask him to move the tent. Honey your man has a problem, and lots of people are noticing. You must be embarassed, atleast?

I'm the one that had the affair with "Caleb" Johnson, or whatever his name is. Now I really regret it! His wife is stalking me, and she seems to be more abusive to the kids, because of it. I just wanted to have a fling! Hey, we both are married so I din't think that it would hurt anybody. I had no idea that Alecia was a closetted abusive mother! I feel so sorry for those kids, being home with just her all day. Why doesn't she get a job and put them in day care, if they annoy her so much!

I heard another rumor as to why this dynamic trio(Johnson&Johnson, and Sprenkle) chose our particular neighborhood in the suburbs to make their nest. I'm almost loathe to write it on here, though. I guess no one seems to mind what I say because, they would complain and get it deleted.
My former marine, friend thinks that it has something to do with the thriving prescription drug trade that is apparently alive and well in this upper-middle class suburb. Don't come after me, he is the one that works in corrections! I'm actually a liberal democrat that used to attend Grateful Dead concerts. Thats why I don't get why the trio chose to harass me? I never would have said a word, or suspected any "hill Billy" heroine use or sale!
My man friend says his jail is full of suburbanites dealing in "mother's little helpers" or whatever they're called nowadays. He put two and two togethor. The mom who lives in NYC but dumped her kids off here. The couple with the "southern" address. All of the people, twenty-somethings with kids, who don't work, or work part-time. The nice cars, limos, vacations in a failing economy.
I guess that this type of new-fangled drug trade is tolerated well by the powers-that-be. It helps the local economy. Most of the participants are white. The only people that get stigmatized are the ones that make waves! I would write an editorial in to the local paper, if I didn't have to use my real name, and be more specific, lol!
I wish it was the good old days...when everyone just smoked a little weed, dropped some acid occasionally, and didn't try to commandeer neighborhoods for their own personal business ventures!

Well, I've been investigating further into the drug trade, to the dismay of my bf. He wants me to give up, and he even offered to replace the missing stake, and booby trap it so no one can steal it again! I declined the offer because he used to blow things up in the military, and I would rather that all parties keep their limbs intact! So...anyway....shall we talk about the children.
We can all agree that the children exhibit some bizarre behaviours. These are little ones, not old enough to really be left to their own devices. The little boy, is contantly wacking things with a large stick, even the dog. They both throw tantrums, like little infants. They constantly play in the weed bank, among the broken glass, wood pieces, and other debris. The mother refuses to supervise, or reprimand them. She has no day job, and must stay inside, catatonic, on the couch all day. At first I thought that she had "munchausen by proxy" disorder, the malady where the mother rejoices in seeing the children injure themselves, so she can get all decked out and take them to the ER. Thereby receiving the attention that she craves from the staff. Now I'm not really sure, because of the drug culture info. People on drugs do strange things!
Anyway, this is not a normal woman. Don't be fooled and leave your kids with her. She really seems to crave "negative" attention. Maybe thats why she can't hold down a day job. I keep hoping that she'll get one so the little girl could have a safer environment in daycare. Hopefully the teachers at school will notice any unusual behavior in the child at school. It's really quite sad!

We have become best friends with the family where the mother is MIA. The wayward mom, has a website listed under her full name, including middle, the homepage is a pic of her wearing skimpy lingerie. My hubby loves it, even though she is kind of overweight! You need to join to get full access! The grandma had a stay in jail for some kind of warrant about furniture stealing. She was only in for seven days though! We know about the exstensive family criminal history, and we still love for our kids to all play togethor!
