Here's hoping Steris goes bankrupt. Serves them right for screwing good people in Erie. You hire mexicans, you get mexican quality. Good for tacos and burritos, bads for hospital equipment.
Last quarter sales were up 4.6 percent and they made $26,109,000.

I would like to thank King George
Hall and his royal court(Lew Schwartz,Peter Burk,Aaron Hill,Lauren Bucci)for demonstrating how really screwed up a company can be.
Do not work for this company if you
regard yourself as human!!
Be very careful if you stay in a hospital that uses Steris equipment!!
Do not trust any Steris sales people
under any circumstances!!
Buy american equipment made in america.
Hey Lew- did anyone tell you to shave you nose yet?

Oh, And by the way Steris is screwed, they built a bunch of crap that burning down hospitals. My hospital alone has had two fires. They could not buils safe equipment here in the U.S. How many thousands will they kill by building in Mexico. I hope they get sued for everything they have.
Maybe it's the person taking care of the equipment? All of the cheapskate hospitals in Detroit hire their own people to service the equipment. No training, no skills, no technical materials. I don't know what hospital you're talking about, but seeing how you spell shows that you're all a bunch of idiots there. Oh, and by the way, STERIS is doing very well. Much better since they got rid of all the negetive folks who were bringing them down.

Mexicans are better suited for dealing drugs and kidnapping. Honest work is better left to humans.

Yes union was the problem. The union said give us what we want or else. Gets what union!! Be happy you have a job. Corporate greed is bad but union greed is just as bad. If you are a CEO of a company you should make a lot of money. If I was the CEO of my company than I better be making more mOney than others. Unions and lawyers are the evil empire that is ruining our country

Comments Comments but most are wrong......

1.Steris bought the former Amsco in a deal arranged by the financial group which was bankrolling both companies.
Amsco was in financial problems due to their money scheme called ESOP! Ask any former middle management person about AliBaBa & the 40 Thieves so named for Henry Fish & 40 upper management people.
Corporate greed sunk Amsco & caused its demise not the IAM or UAW! Unions.
3. It was Steris who offered an 8 year contract to the Unions with benefits far in excess of what the Unions were going to ask for at contract negotiations. This contract offer was nothing more then buying time to arrange for a plant relocation.
4. It is true the Union workers were well paid but by the same token Amsco& Steris both created more millionaires in upper management then any other company in Erie.
5.During this time frame Steris sent a letter to salaried middle management personel with 10 years of service & at least 55 years old telling them they had one year to retire or lose retirement medical benefits.
6. Thirty Three management people in the Erie plant were affected by the above letter , 30 retired & were nicknamed the dirty 30. These people had to fight Steris all the way to the State Supreme Court to get unemployment benefits due to being forced to retire.
I was there , I lived & worked through the whole fiasco & without question the people of Amsco both Union & Office were done in by Corporate Greed.
It was a great place to work, probably the best at one time......Hard work,a quality product , substantial profit& company loyalty do not mean very much these days to the current generation of Senior Executives

Steris update......
1. Steris is beginning Mentor based production of products formerly made in Canada, mostly sheet metal fabrication.
2. It seems Steris customers as well as key company management people are more then a little uncomfortable visiting the Mexican facility due to deteriorating civil unrest conditions.
3. Steris is also expanding/adding on to the Montgomery Alabama facility. There is some speculation a move from Mexico is being contemplated.
4. Cheap labor is not much help if the product is poor quality, civic unrest & instability raise the spector of another plant relocation.
