3 Protecting the employee and employees have no choice where they work is such a fraud. Non smokers had a choice when they accepted the job otherwise they would not be employed there. Employees do not suddenly become to dumb and stupid to think for themselves whether to accept or refuse any employment just because the public at large says so. Protecting employees is a farce/fraud for an anti smoking agenda. For instance, in a business where the owner permits the public to enter, who protects the employees from the public's germs, colds, flu's communicable diseases and illnesses? In order to protect employees, all businesses of all types would have to be shut down. Protecting the employee and the declaring the employee too stupid to decide for themselves is nothing more than anti smoking propaganda fraud funded by the RWJF aka J&J who profits from their own nicotine. |

1 It's not really a crime to tell them how to run it. OSHA comes in and tells restaurants what to do as far as food handling goes. Although, if you ever go to Paris, the best restaurants usually have a sleeping dog somewhere on the premises. ;p |

2 I had to laugh at an anti who used the "argument" of restaurants have to cook their meats to a certain temperature to try to defend a smoking ban. Apparently that Green Acres "Eb" never had the opportunity to enjoy the pleasures of sushi or carpaccio. A little too exotic for the anti "fine dining is the the Burger King/McDonald's/Wendy's drive thru" milquetoast palate. |

2 isn't it interesting that the ODH health codes for building structure, wiring, sewer, refrigeration, food handling, pest control, sewage, to protect the public who is not forced to enter and enjoy was not voted on by the public? Just think of all of those years prior to issue 5 ...I'm surprised anyone lived according to the anti smoking fraud |

2 Following that logic, I guess you'd like to repeal the Federal Coal Mine Health and Safety Act of 1969 --- those miners knew that "black lung" was part of the deal with coal mining. Unless they were "too dumb and stupid to think for themselves whether to accept or refuse any employment." Of course, maybe they had families to feed and didn't have too many employment opportunities, but that's no excuse for "nanny state" laws like the Coal Act, right? |

3 The simple fact they have famlies to feed is no excuse. They made a choice, a choice to work in coal mines where they knew they had a big chance of getting black lung.(if they didn't get killed on the job some other way) Now they have the audacity to demand and recive special medical care. Not only that, but they get to draw money from some 'nanny state' gov agency that pays them for having black lung. O the shame of it all.<;~( |

3 You funny boy; You must not of heard, Smoking is no longer thought of as cool or kool. Truth be told, smokers are now regarded with a mixture of gentle scorn, and pity. |

3 How silly of you, coal miners are sucking in chips of coal underground and yes, they knew the dangers which is why many in coal mining communities chose not to be coal miners..heck, the Dayton area is ..er was full of them. BTW, the public was not permitted in the mines so the public could not make the miners sick..yuk-yuk. Oh yes, the coal miners spend 8 + hours underground breathing coal dust and chips which is a know hazard and the miners fought for that act, it was not forced on them..anyhow, miners are not forced to work in mines, they decided all by themselves without a nanny You are dumb |
