FINALLY some good news about store owners and thugs robbing them. This is the second one in two days! I cannot wait for the day the store owner actually kills a few of these thugs, or seriously wounds them.

Kudos to these store owners for defending their property. It's nice to hear that they were not injured during this ordeal.
Makes you wanna stop in and support these folks!

Great Job! It's about time people start fighting back. These thugs are nothing but cowards anyway. Once they see people fight back they'll crawl back to their holes.

What these robbers are doing is crazy, but nothing justifies killing someone. Yes I agree these store owners need to protect themselves and their property, but why would you want them to kill someone or even seriously injuring them. this is a stupid comment. VERY VERY STUPID!!!!!!

Refusing and shooting back is the only way , just be sure your better armed than the idiot, as well as a better shooter , hey just open fire on anyone with a hoodie on , what would be the difference , if not today it will be in the next few that they will try to rob someone

It sends a message to other would be thieves that it is not right to take what doesn't belong to you. If the thought of going to prison is not deterring them then stronger consequenses hopefully will. It is not right to take something that does not belong to you period!

Dear Thugs,

We are officially putting you on notice -- we are tired of your behavior and will not be putting up with it any longer. You used to have the upper-hand, because you operated out of a position of power. You knew that we were going to be unarmed because we were good law-abiding citizens.

Well, times have changed, and so has the law. More and more of us are carrying concealed weapons now which means that sooner or later, you are going to pull your gun on someone, and they are going to pull one on you as well. Of course, they have trained and qualified with their weapon and are probably a much better shot...

So, the next time you try your thuggery on one of us, think back to the famous line that Clint Eastwood uttered in one of his Dirty Harry movies -- "Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?"

It is time to revisit juvenile justice in this country. First we need to redefine juvenile. To me, a 14-year-old with a semiautomatic can no longer be considered a juvenile. We need to stop protecting the identity of, and open up the records of, juvenile criminals. I have the right to know what the 16-year-old down the street is doing, if they are selling drugs, if they have a criminal record. Perhaps if these children were "outed" instead of committing crimes feeling safe behind the curtain of anonymity, they would re-think their actions. Hopefully, their parents or caretakers would also pay more attention to them knowing that their child's name might possibly be in print and their criminal record would be available for the public to view. When we as a country allow video games like "Grand Theft Auto" to rule the childrens' mind, when we glorify a felony crime, we should expect the type of crimes that we see committed by juvenile offenders. If that is the case, I want to be able to see exactly who they are.

It's about time we started firing back at these kinds of thugs! Anyone who is so bold as to put a gun to a man's head deserves to be shot in self-defense. I'm tired of reading story after stroy of thugs robbing people at gunpoint and then getting away with it. Good for you store clerks, for protecting yourselves!

Attention thugs:

Please do us a favor.

Please put your gun to your head and pull the trigger, or jump off the Y-brige.

If the economy's bad and you arent willing to do what it takes (ex. get a loan and go to a college) to get a good job, we dont want you here. Instead of trying to improve your/our situation, you continue to do what you do best. This is breeding a disproportionate number of young piece-of-$hts who will engage in the same crack-whore lifestyle as yourself -especially when they see you as their role model.

I agree with the portion of your comment about games like Grand Theft Auto, and their negative effects upon society.

But the other issues you mention are already addressed in the law, and opening access to juvenile records beyond what already exists is a terrible idea.

The real problem is that often, the Courts dont use the law in a manner that effectively deters repeat offenders from continuing their behavior.

Its not legal to shoot someone to defend your property against theft.

You can get in a lot of trouble for that.

But thats not what happened here.

Look for more of the same this summer.

Funny how everyone's all caught-up in the

'crossfire of the moment' and talks guns, guns, guns,

yet nobody says ONE SINGLE WORD about bulletproof

glass protection DIRECTLY AT THE COUNTER where the crimes happen.

That, and a hungry female Doberman on the owner's side of the glass....

You're very very stupid. Your enabling attitude is exactly what's wrong with this country. If more thugs get killed, they won't do this. It's really simple psychology, good chance of a bad consequence equals less participation in illegal activites. I suppose you think charges should be filed against the clerks? If someone points a gun at you, their intention, even if it's just be to take some money, matters not. When you pull a gun on someone, you're threatening death. Is that not what a gun implies? The threat of death? If you get shot and killed for pulling a gun, you deserve it. It's like playing football, if you step on the field, assume you're going to get hit. Another thing, if someone were to pull a gun on me, I'm not going to take the precious time to aim for leg, I'm going center mass and removing myself from danger. I'm not getting carried by 6 because I shot someone in the leg and they continued to fire on me. Pull your head out of your arce sir or mamm!

Glad to know they didn't get away with it- and that they probably ran off scared out of their minds!...Although I wonder how long before some robber turns around and tries to sue the store worker for assault, or for being wounded....You know there's some dumb judge without common sense somewhere that would decide in favor of the robber!

Scum like robbers don't deserve to live. If they keep going they will kill innocent people. It's time to weed out the bad ones!

Your comment, "why would you want to kill someone or even seriouly injure them..." - well, because it's not theirs to take and I work very hard for what I have. They wouldn't get shot if they didn't rob someone - now would they? Why don't you give them your address so they know the "safe places" to rob people! Give me a break!
