I've been practicing Tai Chi for over 10 years and still consider myself a beginner. If done correctly, Tai Chi is "work" although it looks smooth, "flow-y" and effortless. If done right, the internal aspects of Tai Chi are most important to attain the greatest benefits. It looks "pretty" on the outside, but there is a lot of work going on inside.
