The Bullitt County Drug Task Force arrested nine people in two days in three different incidents involving meth-related charges.
One of the people arrested was Brian Wibbles, the former president of the Lebanon Junction Jaguars youth football team who was indicted in March 2007 on charges of theft by unlawful taking of more than $300 and possession of forged checks after thousands of dollars went missing from the team’s coffers.
Wibbles, 33, of Lebanon Junction, was arrested about 4 p.m. yesterday after police pulled over the car he was in for improper tags near Exit 112 on Interstate 65, said Kenny Hardin, director of the task force.
Inside the car, Hardin said, police found ingredients to make meth, including pseudoephedrine, acid and ammonium nitrate.
Wibbles, who was out on bond, was charged with criminal conspiracy to manufacture meth. Jennifer Ashbaugh, 24, of Lebanon Junction, was also in the car and received the same charge.
The first incident happened at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in Hillview when police were serving a drug warrant.
Once in the home, the officers detected “a strong chemical smell” and found a meth lab in the back bedroom, Hardin said.
Mark Boggs, 44, of Louisville, and Raymond Basham, 41, of Hillview, were arrested and charged with manufacturing meth in that incident.
“We’re still looking for the man we were serving the warrant on,” Hardin said. He would not give that man’s name.
Another bust happened about 9 p.m. yesterday in the 300 block of Oakcrest Drive in Shepherdsville.
The police were looking for Lisa Grimes, 38, who failed to appear in court on drug-related charges, Hardin said.
The officers smelled a strong chemical odor and found a lab in a bathroom, he said.
Along with the charge of failing to appear in court, Grimes was charged with manufacturing meth.
James Coulter, 29; Joseph Durbin, 19, and Thomas Durbin, 21, all from Shepherdsville, and Lisa Alvey, 34, of Boston, Ky., were also at the scene and charged with manufacturing meth, Hardin said.
The nine people arrested are being held at the Bullitt County Detention Center.
The last bust is the 46th meth bust for the task force this year, compared to 22 busts last year, he said.
Hardin credited the higher number to Bullit County law enforcement being proactive about finding meth labs.

Hahhahahhahha. This is great so I wonder if Triple 6 Vamps mommy and daddy got busted for it. After all, they had to find a way to support his lazy rear end. I used to live on the Bullitt and Jefferson Co line at one point and its turned into a hell hole. Meth labs sprung up everywhere, my last few weeks there they had four drug busts in the neighborhood.

Several people got busted for production of methamphetamines. A guy I know that was a Shepherdsville cop said it was getting a lot worse not to mention everything you read in the media. Yep, Im glad I am out of there, a true world class hole in the ground and the city of Louisville is no better.
