I AM LOOKING FOR ANY INFO ON THIS ASYLUM.WHERE ARE THE GRAVES LOCATED.I am looking for my grandmothers burial place,she may be there.

the burials are in the back where the old buildings use to be' down what use to be a dirt road ,it is now a park .but the old road is still there ,the graves are nearly impossible to find because the stones are all gone and the weeds are to tall ,it was never maintained , really you would have to know someone who knew where the stones once were to find it ,its well hidden and theres really nothing at all to see ,you have to look really hard to find any signs of any grave stones . hope i was of some help.

Thanks! Do you know where I could get a record of who was buried on the grounds? I have tried all leads, can not get any where.No one seems to know where or if records were kept.My paternal grandmother was taken there after her second husband abused her.My father was a orphan at the age of 11 or 12.Thank you for any information I do appreciate it.It is important for me to know never got to meet my grandparents.

have you tried going to central state in person ,im sure they still have records of burials. how long has it been since your grandmother was buried there if i may ask. |

Is the only asylulm in Danville? I too have a greatgrandmother that was admitted to a Asylum in Danville I don't know the name of it. I was wondering if this coould be the same one she was admitted to? She also died there in 1920,1921 or 1922. My grand mother was only 13, at the time and she had care for 5 siblings. I too would love to find the burial records to see if her name is listed.
