Two days ago there were two different local news stories about Josh Gouker. One from WLKY, one from WDRB. One account contradicts the other. I thought by now, two days later, that there would be updates from both local channels, telling us what is really going on. Below are both stories, read each and see what I'm talking about.

Man with ties to boy's murder sought in Louisville
LOUISVILLE, KY.(WDRB)-- LMPD is searching for a Louisville man with ties to the murder of a 14-year-old boy. Joshua Gouker was released from custody in Alabama on Wednesday.

LMPD had been trying to get Alabama authorities to hold Gouker until they could request his return on a probation violation.

Gouker's 15-year-old son Joshua Young fled to Alabama in June where authorities say the two kidnapped a woman.

Young returned to Louisville and was charged with murdering his step-brother Trey Zwicker.

Joshua Gouker was arrested in Alabama in June on kidnapping and gun charges.
Gouker was released to authorities in Floyd County on Wednesday to face theft and resisting law enforcement charges.
Gouker is the ex-boyfriend of Trey Zwicker's mother. The 14-year-old's body was found outside of Liberty High School in May.
Gouker's 15-year-old son is charged with his murder.

Tonight there are stories from both WLKY and WDRB regarding Josh Gouker. It seems the Alabama jail let him go. He was to be extadited to Floyd County Indiana where he is wanted on theft and resisting law enforcement charges. Louisville police are blaming Alabama for releasing him. Who's at fault? Who's going to take blame? Josh Gouker is a dangerous man. This is something very serious to be reckoned with. Alabama let him go on September 28!! He is a serious threat to everyone involved in the murder of Trey Zweicker. Not knowing exactly where he is tonight, Gouker is a threat to everyone. Geez, police, how could all this have gone so wrong? Somebody needs to answer to this. Somebody with either Louisville police, Homewood Alabama police or Jeffersonville Indiana police are not doing their jobs.

Here are today's stories:

New details emerge in Joshua Gouker case
(WHAS11)-- The father of the teenager accused of killing a 14-year-old boy and then leaving his body behind Liberty High School is out of jail by mistake.

Joshua Gouker was arrested in Alabama on a charge of kidnapping but the state of Alabama let him go on Sept. 28.

The Commonwealth says they were told Gouker was supposed to be in the custody of Floyd County, Ind. but they didn't have Gouker.

By the time Kentucky asked for Gouker to be extradited, Gouker had already been released.

He's accused of missing a court date in Floyd County and parole violations in Jefferson County.

How did Joshua Gouker walk out of jail?

LOUISVILLE, Ky (WDRB)-- A Louisville man with ties to his stepson's murder walks out of an Alabama jail even though there were warrants out for his arrest. Joshua Gouker is a convicted felon with ties to gang activity. Louisville Metro Police have a huge interest in Gouker's whereabouts. His son, 14-year-old-son Joshua Young, is charged in the murder of his step-brother Trey Zwicker.

Authorities never named Gouker a suspect, but a victim's protection order from his wife called him a person of interest in the case.

Gouker and Young were arrested in Alabama in June after an Amber Alert went out for the teenager.

Young came back to Louisville to face his charges in family court while his dad stayed in Alabama on felony kidnapping and illegal gun possession charges. Prosecutor Bob Becher says he couldn't make the kidnapping charge stick. "The victim and the defendant had known each other, had a prior relationship, and there were just a lot of things in the case," says Becher. "(It) didn't seem like we would have enough evidence to go forward."

So, Gouker ended up doing time served on the gun charge. "Once he finished serving that, he was supposed to be shipped to Kentucky for pending things there," says Becher.

But that never happened. Kentucky Probation and Parole blames Alabama authorities in Madison County. Probation and Parole provided WDRB a timeline. June 20th: Officer Madeya with Probation and Parole calls a detective and advises him of Gouker's warrants and that Kentucky wants to extradite him. Then last week, Madeya receives word Gouker is being released to Floyd County -- a surprise to Indiana officials who say he's not in their custody. The next day, Alabama authorities changed their story, saying Gouker was released to the street.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Louisville has reason to believe Gouker is back in the city and it is currently looking for him. No one at the Alabama jail answered WDRB's phone call.

Louisville, Ky.(WHAS11)- Joshua Gouker was arrested around 7:30 Thursday morning.
Louisville Metro Police served a warrant to a house in Louisville and he happened to be there.
Gouker was booked into Metro Corrections after being handcuffed at the 1200 block of Springdale Drive in Louisville.
Police with the 6th Division went to that address to serve a probation and two warrants; one out of Indiana and another for domestic violence.
Gouker happened to be at the home.
They say this arrest is not related to the murder of his stepson Trey Zwicker.
The teenager’s body was found behind Liberty High School.
Gouker was mistakenly released from an Alabama jail on September 28 on a kidnapping charge which was later dropped.
Authorities thought he was released to Floyd County, Indiana and couldn't be found until Thursday.
Gouker will be arraigned in court. He is scheduled to face a judge Friday.

For all you folks in Louisville, let it be known that Gouker WAS NOT released by mistake!!! Legal documents show that Gouker was released for time served on a weapons charge, the Kidnapping charge was dismissed and teletypes from KY and Indiana indiacte both released their holds or refused to extradite. Don't blame an agency that did their job properly. Thank you.

Not sure who screwed up, whether is was Alabama or Louisville. Louisville Police say that there was a probation hold, and that Alabama was supposed to notify Louisville before he was released. Somebody needs to answer to why he was released. Louisville is lucky to have found him. Wonder what will happen next? I'm sure he'll be released again, and LMPD will have to look for him again, wasting tax dollars during this recession when every dime needs to be accounted for. This was a major screw up.

Okay so this hits personal here. I live in Huntsville, Alabama. The same city that released this beast. He came into contact and manipulated many of my extremely close friends down here. The boy who brought him to Kentucky where he was found, is like a brother to me. I am terrified about all of these events. I am terrified he will get out and come back here. This man is obviously extremely dangerous. It horrifies me that Madison County handled this so poorly. If anything happens to my loved ones, I hope they are ready to be held responsible. CRAZINESS!!!!!!

I had a personal run in with this guy over 10 years ago. I'm friends with Trey's father. I would love to be in a room with Josh Gouker again. Nuff said. But I Don't understand why, with his record that he is still walking around. People with less of his convictions remain detained. I want justice damnit! You actually think that his boy acted alone? Better look harder.

There is no way he did this alone. The scene were the body was found was not were Trey was killed.Where did he die & how did a 100 lb. kid move a dead body?If it was other teens I believe one of them would have talked by now. Gouker is your man.

I don't care if you're firteen or fifty, if you have it in you to kill so brutally then you should be killed brutally. Don't tie up my tax money feeding this lil shit. He was probably jealous that his lil step brother was a good smart kid who was probably gonna succeed so he took his life. And what about the dad? A fat ass balding sick looking redneck trying to play thug. That stuff is barely cool in fictional rap videos. I don't wanna hear about circumstances and this kids upbringing. I'm un-sympathetic. What's even more tragic, you should see this kids dipshit girlfriend stalking his Facebook page saying the same thing over and over. Where are her parents and why is nobody telling her that she has puppy love for a murderer. Every time she comments on his Facebook I hear a banjo playing and the cries of her four hungry kids shell have by her senior year if this kid gets out of jail. Oh well, at least now he'll get a neat teardrop tatt like his gem of a sperm doner father.

Gouker is just pure evil! I do not think the son done this alone, I think Gouker done it all, now the son is taking the rap for everything so Daddy don't do the time. I do believe the son played a big part in the murder of Trey. I think BOTH of them should be punished to the fullest extent of the law and more. Neither one of them should ever be released back into society. I think everyone would be in danger if they were back on the streets.
RIP Trey and still praying for your family and justice for you.

One of my friends in Law Enforcement said the body was badly damaged. He said it's the worst I have seen in a while. That's why the cops first suspected he was killed by a gang. I would think a 15 year old boy would need some help to kill the victim with that much damage.

i have thought from the beginning of all this that Gouker was involved in this one way or another, and his son is taking the fall for him, i doubt that josh young acted alone, and its a shame that they arent looking at him too, i will be prayin for Treys family this Christmas is going to be hard for them, i know this because i lost my daughter 16 years ago, and the first Christmas is the hardest and birthdays, PLEASE KEEP THE ZWICKERS IN YOUR PRAYERS THEY NEED THEM

Is it wrong of me that I hope someone convicts the kid and he spends the rest of his life in prison? He's not gonna rehabilitate, he's not gonna grow, he's not gonna contribute to society. If he gets out, he's gonna knock up is weird lil Facebook stalker of a retarded redneck girlfriend, he's gonna smoke weed and meth and collect government checks. He's gonna want to fight everyone that looks at him wrong. He's gonna claim bloods and swear that his loser father is the coolest guy alive. I grew up in an area where I was around 15 year olds just like josh young and none of them are doing shit with their lives. It became too late for this kid the second he chose to help take a life. I say take out the family and anyone who supports/enables them. Am I harsh?...Yup.... But I'm only attempting to understand how terry zwicker feels. He's never hanging with his boy again. What's an appropriate penalty for that? It sure as Hell isn't therapy. This is one thing the mid-east got right. Gouker and son would've been dangling from a crane by their necks. I've read as much as I can find and these two have offered NOTHING to society. It's only a matter of time before another family suffers if either one of these people are allowed to see the light of day. People like this are the reason I keep a hot weapon at the ready. I have no police record, I work hard, I enjoy people and life in general. I give back to my community and all I want to do is succeed....yet I'm the one who feels the need to keep arms for protection. Please comment.
