Episcopal Dissenters: It's OK to Hate Gays

So the South Carolinians are all bent out of shape. Hey, why not secede from the Union..oops...too late, you guys already tried that one once and look how swell that turned out.
I've been to Canterbury, ground zero for Church of England, and they are mystified at America's Episcopal tight assedness. New word I must made up.
Why not follow your moral governor's model and be faithful to your wife..oops, can't do that now.
I know what. Why not die right now and go to heaven like your role models, the taliban and leave more room for the rest of us?

This is generally how new denominations forms. Disagreement about some doctrine.

If I were a Christine I would be very skeptical of which truth was the real truth. Christians fight over which bible is the true Lords word and over disagreements in even the smallest piece of scripture. Even if the bible itself is absoulte truth, I doubt any one church or even anyone follower is following it properly.

The Bible says not to question the word of God. The dissenters are in the wrong, if their majority and higher up say what is truth then they should not question it.

If they are so set on following the sacred scripture why not obey the law against eating shell fish, the law against cursing ones' parents, the law against eating pork or bacon, or work on the sabbath, have sex with your wife while she is having her period, curse or blaspheme the name of God, the law against adultery with another man's wife, etc. etc. When they follow all these laws then they can come back and tell me about the law not to love another man.

This is so wrong, I am not sure just where to begin.

I still don't see how hate can be "holy". Ahhh, the joys of being a Pew Warmer and seeing reality backwards. The only joy they have in their pitiful lives is the thought that some day they will be in heaven looking down in hell at all the people they tried to sell Jesus to. It just makes their little old hearts warm that God loved all those evil homosexuals so much that he would do that to them.

In reality of course, Christianity is an abomination, it is a crime against humanity, the biggest hoax ever sold. And their "holy" book is nothing more than an ancient collection of Jewish puppet plays.

ALAN: Jesus told us to "honor thy father and mother”(Matt. 15:4), but contradicted his own teaching in Luke 14:26 ("If any man comes to me and does not hate his father and mother ... he cannot be my disciple"). There is no truth in the Bible. Christians are living proof of that.

ALAN: LOL! A Christian obeying the Bible? It has never happened. It can't happen. Not a single one of them are capable of it. Just look up 1 Peter 4:15, you never see a Pew Warming Christian acting on that. Never happen. You might as well ask them to cut off their right arm.

This is why I have more respect for Islamic nations in regard to their faith. Even if I think it is all rubbish and all barbaric, at least they stay truthful to as much of their doctrine as possible. Christians pick and choose.

There are alot of good people I know who are Christians. Some of my most respected friends. For some people a religious upbringing can be a good thing abd help them become a [positive influence on the world. However; people need to acknowledge how selective of scripture their church is and from that realize if you can ignore one piece of God's word then either realize other parts may be dated and/or interpreted poorly or that it is all bunk.

Either all of God's word is equally important, or none of it is.

Those Christians that believe in the word of God will pray for this group in SC and pray for their return to a Christian life. They should not be hated or turned away....the church is for sinners of all sorts.

These name-calling tactics remind me of the tale of the Emperor's new clothes: expensive "vestments" that can't be seen by the stupid.
Though this has a chilling effect on most self-conscious adults, there's always a child in the crowd that's not afraid to say "he's naked," and so is TEC: see Rev 3:18.

Because they choose to follow Jesus' message of love, and choose to follow the true intent of the bible, they are blind? Well then, shut my eyes. I too believe in the unconditional love of God, and of His commandment to love ALL of His creation.


What makes you (as in fundemantal Christians) the only one to receive God's love? Why do you think you are so special?

That's nice but I stand by what I said.....the church should not turn their backs on any sinner even those such as those in SC.
