I am sure that any mature adult understands that running a business is not easy. That you take great financial and personal risks. Especially in this economy and especially in the public sector. You are open to all sorts of criticisms. Sometimes employees cannot perform the specific tasks that they tell you they are capable of and may lash out in anger for their lack of skill. It is unfair to make libelous allegations anonymously on the internet. If there were true grievances they should be pursued through proper channels to bring about a remedy. The opening of any restaurant has a certain amount of attrition until the staff becomes cohesive. My apologies to the disgruntled former employees who choose this venue to air their complaints. Instead of using the internet to make an attempt to ruin my reputation I encourage them to forward their complaints to the proper authorities so that a civilized remedy may be realized. All I can do is turn the other cheek and wish them the best in their future endeavors.

I got sick from the food at modern.It was the worst food I ate.The owner Kim is bipolar.I feel sorry for any one who works there.

I went to eat at modern and got sick from the burger.Also the mashed potatoes had so many lumps in them.I told the owner kim and she grabbbed the plate and threw at the chef.

I never in my life met anyone so crazzzzzzzy!

I have one question for you whiners, imagine if you were the manager or owner, would you put up with a worker with yours or your friends attitudes? With your money and investment on the line I would imagine the answer is a big ole fat NO!

I went to eat at Modern Food and Spirits and got very sick and called Kim, and all she did was laugh! I have my lawyer working on the case. In the mean time Im advising you not to eat there.

So the interesting trend I am seeing is that nearly every one of the bogus or worthless claims and attacks are from Troy MI, likely the same IP.

So you got sick, what did the CDC and/or health department say when you called them?
Your a random customer right, and not a immature disgruntled employee, so how is it a random customer knows the name of an owner?
If the food was bad and she laughed, then why did she throw the plate at the cook?

If the owner fired you for being a moron, don't you suppose she would remember who you were, if so she could sue you (or your parents) for slander (no kidding). It wouldn't take much for this owner to track you down and have her lawyer start civil proceedings against you and/or your family.

Hmmm....I was thinking about trying this place out. Called the restaurant...very nice lady on the phone referred me to the internet. Read decent reviews. Then found this site.
What a bunch of disgruntled workers. My niece has worked for years in restaurants for all sorts of terrible employers and would never bash them like that in a public forum. Did you ever think of the livelihoods of the people who are still working there?
I'm definately going there after reading mean-spirited comments people are posting about the owner. I like to support businesses in my community.

I have no affiliation with this restaurant, the owners, the workers or anything else, I merely came across the ridicules immature and childish accusations being tossed around in this forum, and commented relative to that and that alone.
