They going to have potato skins. The true potato skin is an art which for the most part died years ago. Bring back the REAL stuff!

Run don't walk to this place. You will never believe this was the Ground Round. It is awesome, so cool. There is nothing in the area even close to this. The official opening is not until tomorrow and you can already tell it is a winner. I have gone twice during the family and friends preview and the food was superb.

I live just down the street from the new Moonstones and had been quite anxious to try it given its preopening accolades. Sunday night on a holiday weekend, a big sign and banner out front of Mooonstones that says "now open", people entering.......yeppers, a quick change out of the gardening clothes and I am so on my way. I guess it was not meant to be, my fellow diners, as signs in the doors made it very clear that they were closed (to the dining public) for a private party and would reopen to the public on the 27th. An odd way to introduce a new restaurant to the townsfolk. Around the corner or not, this does not make for a warm welcome. My neighborhood dining dollars (and my magazine reviews) will go elsewhere. Sorry, Moonstones.

I don't think this restaurant will last. Too damn expensive. And dark. I went on a Tuesday night during the soft opening. My best friend and I had 2 glasses of wine each and the total of the "house wine" was $40.00. And it was a quarter filled in the glass. We had appetizers instead of meals because the meals were so high. Anyway my bill came to $110.00 and I left a good tip but I couldn't do this all the time. It's too bad because I was so excited about having this restaurant around the corner from my house. Sorry Moonstones. Again, bring lot's of money and don't bring the kids...holy cow!

My last visit to their sister restaurant, Cobblestones, resulted in a $100 check for two persons. This is fine dining, and this is what fine dining costs. I cant afford it very often either.

We went to Moonstone's the other night and left very dissapointed. The service was HORRIBLE, it was very expensive, and overall it just seems like they are trying to hard to be chic. We will be returning to old faithful, Bainbridge's, where the service is bar none (they all seem like they are family, the food is consistantly good and prices are very reasonable.

You had me until the "will be returning to Bainbridges" comment. Then all your credibility as a restaurant critic went out the window.

One who knows? In using such a nickname it would be prudent to actually report accurate information. Our house red is a homemade sangria that sells for $7/glass.(Your 4 glasses would have cost $28.00) We offer 20 wines by the glass, ranging from $5/ to $12/glass. The amount in your glass was an industry standard 6 ounces, poured to the 6 oz symbol etched on our 18oz, custom made glass. It is the type of glass that wine drinkers "demand", allowing wine to breathe and appear more "stylish". Such style often leads to the assumption of "expensive" for thise unfamiliar.(apparently) But, should you return, and request a smaller glass, we'd be happy to fill it for you! Those high prices that you report range from $14 for our slow roasted Pork Carnitas to $30 for our Twin Filet Mignon served with Lobster "bread pudding". Our most popular entree-the Chicken and Jumbo Shrmp Scallopine costs $18.00--a typical Outback Price.(I shuddered when I typed that) And yes, do not bring the kids. Unless, of course, they are like my own, who enjoy a more sophisticated environment, excellent food, beautiful lighting, and know how to sit in their seats and behave accordingly, as though they are destined for the finer things in life!!
