For some it contains minerals that our body is lacking due to anemia. For others we just love the taste of clay.
It us a pacifier for our stresses.

I love the videos too, plus pictures.

Just did one of my favorite searches - a google image search for "clay powder". So many different clays to look at - mouth watering badly now!

Enjoying looking at these things I'm sure would sound completely crazy to people who don't understand.

Oh that clay looked so good! I've never seen that video before, such huge chunks. I wish I had access to it. I note that they refer to it as "stones" though, and not clay, and on another video I see their chunks referred to as "mud". Does anyone know if it is all still clay, or something different?
I would love to try some red clay, it seems like it would be the ultimate in earthiness.

Omg! That's the real thing I tell you. I'm kenyan and they were sold everywhere. Guess they call them stones coz they are mined. Some people boiled theirs in salt and baked them in the hot african sun however I liked mine natural n if u got good ones, they had a lovely taste that hit your taste buds in the right places and exploded your mouth with full rainy-earthy flavour. Each crunch sending your body into a little jig......mmmmmmmm I want some like right now.

I'm going to try that when my order comes. I am so ready to get my white dirt just to know its coming. I hope it takes the place my eating cornstarch. This is day #7 without it. The creamy texture of kaolin is what I want to taste. One lady described it as melting in ur mouth like chocolate. Has anyone seen the new video on youtube yet if so what r ur thoughts. I can't wait to open my bag and smell the kaolin!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!

Check out an earlier post I believe on previous page of someone living in the UK selling chalks as well as clay. I believe her post is chalklover.

Hi Cat, the items I have are not that earthy in taste - most chalks aren't really. The amaco pottery clay I have is a bit earthy an is in chunk form. It also clings to your gums when you eat it and is gritty.

The German chalks I have are the closest chalks I've had to earthy. That is earthy in texture, crumbly, gritty and soft too. Not chemically. But the taste still lacks. But far better in taste than other chalks I have tried - and I have tried many over the years.

The closest to earthy I have tasted is the Luvos internal healing earth/clay - it is like very fine sand - so does not stick to the mouth like clay. Here is the link:http://www.purenature24.c o.uk/buy/luvos-healing-earth-f or-internal-use-4160

The only other thing I've eaten that taste earthy is the plaster on walls. The Odowa clay that Mauvseller had was a bit earthy - the taste grows on you. But there has been complaints about her customer service on here.

Sorry I couldn't be of much help.

Hi Clay junkie, have you tried buying the clay in powder form and then mixing it with water and then baking it or air drying it? This can be done with DE too. Some people do this with Kaolin - has we can't get raw chunks in the UK like they can get it in the US.
