Cristina FernA ndez de Kirchner was a young crusading lawyer when she watched anxious military conscripts tramp through the cold and wind of her adopted home town, Rio Gallegos, on their way to invade the Falkland Islands .

Judged: 1 1 1 Well, that´s the spirit! Well done Georgy! it seems like you will enroll and come here to do your part! Of course, what moves you and the UK 14.000 miles away from your lacked of natural resources islands is only true and justice. It is the wellbeing of the people, not the oil, not the resources, just justice. Thanks god for sending them to south America!. My advice to my fellows Argentines in this forum is that we have to learn and concentrate on the Argentine position at the UN. Which is, by the way, far more solid than our counterpart on this matter wants to believe. That is the reason because they need to demonstrate their colonialist war machinery, hoping we are going to drop our cause. As fascist as the UK is, declined imperial power that is still trying to solve issues not by justice or international law but by force. They believed we are either afraid or insecure in our claim. They like to believe that we are afraid of a fourth invasion to our national territory. Well, keep trying. Send more ships; send the Queen for the islander’s amusement if you want. At the end it would not matter. Moreover, my advice to you Georgy is not to fall any deeper for Mr. Cameron's lies about our intentions. It seems to me that the entire issue is used by his failing conservative government and the media to hide real problems in the UK. Unemployment, riots, lootering, etc?, concentrate on that my friend) The UK have a gigantic catalog of half trues (half a true is a lie), deceives, and double standards to stall any productive discussion. It is just matter of time. Malvinas, as part of our national territory will be back to be controlled and administer by our government and not for a foreign “the facto” force. Kinds regard from Argentina Georgy. Take care, Claudio Antook. |

When britain took over the falklands it was unpopulated as it was a barren wasteland .we made a port there to repel the spanish who were murdering the native south americans and stealing and raping towns ,we succeded where others failed because britain is the greatest country on earth .thats why millions flock there to live .its because we dont have a dictator unlike argentina .and we have liberty and freedom .we will defend the falklands . |

Judged: 1 1 1 Men, your history knowledge sure is deep! What else did you learn in that book of yours?(Public school I guess). Is that book also telling you guys all the good you are (as you were in the past) spreading on the globe? With comments like this one, you seem all not only retarded but misinformed and full of shit. What make me smile is that you actually said "When britain took over the falklands"... took over from whom smart ass? Were not these islands "unpopulated"? And yes, you don´t have a "dictator", you have more a “clown like” as a Prime minister. Good thing, he make us laugh while make you suffer with your stall “only for few” economic policy! Kind regards from Argentina. |

That you are ignorant, study, investigate and report about the true story: In 1982, the Dr. Beck picked them up in another book, The Anglo Argentine Dispute Over Title to the Falkland Island, Changing British Perceptions on Sovereignity since 1819, where you can see, for example, that in 1911 the Foreign Office held: "Argentina's position is not entirely unjustified [...] We can not easily carry out a valid claim and should wisely avoid an argument with Argentina on this topic. Two months before the 1982 conflict, the British historian Peter Beck revealed:
British historian Peter Beck, professor of International History at Kingston University, and author of The Falkland Islands as an International Problem ¸ revealed two months before the conflict in 1982 (Journal of International Studies and World Affairs, University of Miami, February 1982) that, according to internal documents of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom [the Foreign Office], the British occupation of the islands in 1833, was an act of force without the backing of international law. According to Dr. Beck, the analysis of the documents made in the early 20th century, the Foreign Office was opposed to international arbitration proposed by the Argentine government of Miguel Juárez Celman. |

Agreement signed in Madrid in July 1670, the King of England would retain the lands of North America to islands and ports until then owned, or more than that NO, and the subjects of Great Britain will not commercialize, or navigate the area that the king of Spain had from the Caribbean to the South Seas. Signed in Madrid in 1713, at the beginning, where Her Majesty forbade his subjects to move to the South Seas, or traffic in other places some of the Spanish Indies. Ie in 1713 is ratified in 1670 which had been signed, but the agreements did not prevent the English continue entering the dominions of Spain. The disputes led to two wars, one in 1718 and another in 1739, each time you sign the peace was returning to the principles of Utrecht. Each time the war ended a peace was signed and put conditions, then it happened that the treaty was signed in Madrid, the Utrecht the most important of all, and that then, England, always largaba stitches and knot. And he said the following, we will sign treaties, but as long as Spain recognizes British sovereignty over the territories which are in North America at the time of the occupation made. In return England to undertake to prevent British subjects to navigate the South Atlantic ports and land and respect that corresponded to the West Indies from Spain, and always turned on the same, the same, and signed treaties, England signed it, asked good faith, but "never met".
